ABOUT BELOW DECK MEDITERRANEAN:
Bravo Media sails through the French Riviera in a new season of Below Deck Mediterranean. Sandy may be navigating the “Sirocco” mega yacht again, but she brings a new level of leadership in season four. With high expectations, she has no tolerance for anything short of perfection and will take drastic measures if the crew can’t deliver. Hannah, looking to right her wrongs from last season, is hoping for smooth sailing with a strong interior crew. But will choppy waters threaten her redemption? Mila, classically trained in French culinary cuisine, becomes the first female chef in franchise history, but after a bout with food poisoning right as the first charter guests are set to arrive, she’ll have her work cut out for her. Aesha, coping with a difficult past and using humor to get through tough times, is ready to hit the high seas and get another charter under her belt. Anastasia, born in the Republic of Georgia, has a strong sense of pride in her work ethic which takes her on an unexpected journey. João is looking for a fresh start and is laser focused on being the best Bosun for the crew, but not everyone is on board. Colin, feeling homesick, quickly finds himself on the outs after trying to connect with the new deck crew. Travis after a few mishaps begins to question leadership, however, it’s his “work hard, play hard” mentality that comes into question by the rest of the crew. Jack ruffles feathers when the crew notices he’s putting more effort into pursuing a crew member than his actual job.

June didn't even seem like she wanted to be there until she started crying in the end but that's just because rejection is tough no matter what and she took it way too personally. Yachting is always about temporary positions. June's so spacey until she gets confronted.

I’ve just watched this season (yes, I’m a few years behind), but dear god, she sounded like a sleepy drunk 24/7, didn’t know her own name, and gave me the impression that tying her own laces would have been a step too far for her.

Hope you never own a pet or have children that’s a scary thought ... cold and unconscious. Intentionally ignoring Hannahs calls and spew more lies why you didn’t hear her. She just wasnt impressive enough to own the role confidently to take it away from Anastasia. I'm also wondering what the agreement was when they asked June to fill in, as in was it a temporary assignment or a full season position?

@@anthonychavez2351 she didn't do her job right it was only an episode in where she lied about doing a cabin, that hannah called her out on, she was getting glasses wrong, SHE TOOK A GIFT FROM A GUEST! Throw in that even Captain had an issue with the walkie tallie, she was lucky to be kept as long as she was. That's customer service for dummies, it would have been ridiculous for her to be kept.

The only real problem with June was her aversion to the radio. She did do her work. Sandy should have told her upfront the position was temporary. Jack should have been the one to go since he really does not want to work. June could have moved to the deck crew. The upside is that Ben is coming back.

I found it HILARIOUS that Colin wanted to give up his job for June. The woman struggles to make a bed, doesn’t understand that fire on a boat is a bad thing, and doesn’t even know what “quarter past 7” is and you want her to do bowlines/tenders, estimate meters and coordinate a boat into a dock? I’m surprised he didn’t offer her Sandy’s feckin job. Fucking hell, I know he fancied her but talk about overestimating someone’s abilities 😂

What sucks about the firing is that it should've been made absolutely clear to June at the outset that the job was charter to charter, and the most they could guarantee her was two charters. Or one full charter with tips and a second charter with pay even if she had to go home so Egotistical Not-a-Chef could revert to third stew. June seemed shocked. Truly unprepared for the eventuality. I'd like to know what Sandy told her when she asked her to come on board. Or was it someone else who initially fkd up? Even if someone other than Capt. Sandy recruited June, Capt. Sandy should've made the situation fully clear from the first moment she met June.

Merely saying, We have an emergency, so can you fly in right away? says NOTHING about the probability that the stint will be short lived. You have to spell these things out to potential employees BEFORE they come on board.

That whole catastrophe was the captain's responsibility. You be upfront. I guess she couldn't have forseen Anastasia's backing up. Things were great when Anastasia's cooking worked out but when she flubbed it up, she went crawling back to stewardess and threw everything out of whack. Anastasia got a little too big for her britches.

FIRST RULE IS TO seek to UNDERSTAND. Captain Sandy was not being 100% forth coming with her. Anastasia was the one who had to go. The CHEF'S position was redundant. Because of the negative reports from Hannah and Sansy herself on June's work ethic, Sandy decided to transfer Anastasia to the other department because she was the better employee. If this was clearly communicated to her she would have seen it was due to her poor efforts and defying authority in a passive way. This would have removed June's leverage towards Sandy. People want the truth when being released, not some half-story. It is condescending to their intelligence. If June did make an effort to be there and wanted to stay, she would have been the best Stew they had ever seen and Sandy may have had a very difficult decision to make. Being clear to the thought process teaches the employee and gains their respect. June wouldn't have been as disgruntled.

It's not said that's the reason she was fired, it's the reason aesha and hannah are happy to have her back but Sandy made it pretty clear it was because she appreciated what anastasia had done. Captain Sandy gave her the answer she needed, June acted like an entitled baby.

I would've accepted it and gotten paid. She could've had a good reference from Sandy if she wanted to work for another charter after gaining experience. Now she's screwed when she applies for another job, cuz Sandy is certainly not gonna give a good reference after her unprofessional attitude on her way out.

I understand why June is upset to an extent but Anastasia was really doing the Captain a favor she was not brought on as a Chef. June was a temp essentially. I think maybe that should have been made more clear to her but she should have inferred that from the situation.

Anastasia should have been fired point blank period. She took the chefs position which she could no longer fulfill. So there is no reason why she should be able to have a spot to lean back on as a plan B.

That was cold, Sandy. That girl chose to become the Chef instead of staying 3rd Stew. She doesn’t get to flip flop and mess with the livelihoods of other because she doesn’t have the strength of character to chose the position she wanted and stick with it. June should not be fired. Anastasia or whatever the Chef girl’s name is should be let go simply because of her lack of backbone.

I think Captain Lee prefers to be in the Caribbean where he is closer to his very large family and his lovely wife. Hopefully they will rebuild on some of the islands and he can get back closer to home. But I did love seeing them in the South Pacific.

I'm just wondering how much "setting up" of situations is occurring in order to create drama and explosive situations..it seems from their resumes several of the deck crew are actors. Take the burning pan incident, the cameraman was there almost before June got to the galley and would that pan really have been left as it was..like all "reality" series I take them with a pinch of salt

Sadly this isn't the first time Captain Sandy has fired someone without a solid justifiable reason. Telling June that she's fired because her position is redundant aka "we don't need you anymore" is very unprofessional, especially if it wasn't stated in her contract for terms of employment. "I'm really sorry" Also a BS apology on top. Bad call Sandy!
