Emergency! Season 4-6 Intro with Season 1-3 Theme

I always preferred the original intro to the second intro for Emergency, since the latter replaced that awesome theme song with a slower, more dialogue-heavy affair. So, I took the music from the first intro and synced it up with the later intro.

I loved this show. My parents bought me a tackle box and put in a lot stuff that looked like medical supplies and one with a an old phone so I could “call Rampart”. One neighbor was a nurse so she got us some real things from a hospital. Me and my best friend would ride around the neighborhood on our Big Wheels and “rescue” people and stuffed animals. I got every season on DVD when they finally put the show out. If I’m ever in a bad mood I put one of those DVDs in. Very good memories.

I have the whole series of Emergency I wasn't around in the 70's but my parents were I grew up in the 2000's I was born in 1994 I grew up in the 2000's

@@kennethmontoya7111I was born in 1972, the same year as the television program, so I saw it in reruns in the 1980s, and as a resident of Los Angeles County, lived about 7 miles from the fire station used for most of the exterior scenes, station 51 was really station 127 on 223rd Street in Carson, California and the hospital was Harbor General Hospital, which later became Harbor-UCLA Medical Center, which it still happens to be. The overhead building at the end of this clip is that hospital, located at 1000 West Carson Street near, but not in the City of Torrance, California, located in unincorporated county territory in a heavily urbanized region in the South Bay region of southern Los Angeles County. The fire department was the Los Angeles County Fire Department and the fire truck and ambulance used in the series are in a museum in nearby Bellflower, California. The American medical system was much better and more personable and focused on patients, not profits and insurance through the 1970s.

THIS is the opening most kids born in the 1970's remember watching as reruns, because more episodes existed with this version than the earlier ones.

100% correct! I was looking for this but could only find seasons 1-2 openings. Thnx, Rampart! I think Gilligan’s Island was on just before this in the DC area.

Thr show were a large influence for my decision to become a PM too. I watched it when I was in the perfect age to be influenced and so it left me wirh little choices 😅

This show was my childhood. Chips, Emergency & the short lived 240 Robert . My brother and I would pretend we were in car crashes and rescue the other one or our stuffed animals. We would take the large couch cushions off the couch and put them on top of us. That was suppose to be the car wreckage. we would wear our fake fireman outfit we got at the toy store. I had a plastic axe, cheap neon yellow plastic jacket, firemen’s hat, with a plastic face mask, and a plastic oxygen tank that had shoulder straps (in the summer that thing doubled as a scuba tank when we would play in the pool) we also had a fishing tackle box that flipped open like the one DeSoto uses. My dad is a trauma Dr, so medical stuff was always interesting to us. He got called out to the ER every weekend and often a couple nights a week. He had his own practice too. He was gone a lot. I know he had to be their for his patients, so as much I missed him, I understood. My brother and I used to dress up as Chips too. I always got to be paunch lol 😂

originally the 3-5th years had a mix of music both old/new, then they dropped the music and only had radio transmissions as the theme in season 6 I think, and the DVD series only used that version! (I have the music based theme from 3-5)

I'm begining to feel old at 51...the 70s was my childhood and I remember this theme song echoing from the TV throughout the living room while I played with toys on the floor. Hearing it now made my childhood flash in front of my eyes...

My dad grew with this show and both my parents are volunteer EMTs, my dad actually being the chief, and I get voted in to be a junior tomorrow!!! I watched this show when I was very young and now I can actually start to live it

I loved this show as a kid, the cartoon too, and then it was on rerun on Me-TV and I started reading up on the show and it was wild. Jack Webb of Dragnet produced it. He used to be married to Julie London. She was a singer with the Bobby Troupe Quartet, yes, Dr. Joe Early on the show. So Jack Webb hired his ex-wife and her new husband for his TV show and then gave her a different love interest on the show! 😂 There’s a cool website, the LA County Fire Department Museum and they have a 3D tour and you can see the restored squad 51 engine and truck, plus you can buy some cool merchandise!

Emergency and Adam 12, were the 2 shows my parents and I watched, it's funny on Adam12 they were at Rampart talking to Dr Brackett, and Dixie, then Johnny and Roy walk by, but in the first season of Emergency at the fire house they were watching Adam12, 😆

They only used the dialog version in one season originally, but for some reason, Universal replaced VERY season in the back half with it. There was an amazing and really fast paced orchestration used in the last few years.
