Lack of RESPECT.. Look at the way you are mentioning their names without titles. They have held the highest position of the land, so you must show respect by addressing them appropriately. Ex -president, or his Excellency. This explains what you said that the media are responsible for our problems.

Some people don't deserve the titles they are given. Someone like Cecilia Dapaah with the title honorable, what is the honor in her dealings, is it the money she stole or what. And MP giving Bribe to EC official and you call him honorable. Is a shame. There are few who deserves it though but majority of our leaders don't qualify for the titles given them.
