The day I was there was on Nov. 15th 2023 and if you do go make sure you go there early to get a good parking spot. started out super foggy in the morning and then cleared as the morning sun came in. All I want to say is Wow! what an amazing opportunity to have photographed these majestic birds at Conowingo Dam. If you want good parking spot I suggest you get there early.
Thank you Petey Reamz Production for this track! Also Thank you Josh Grubbs for recommending me this place. Also thank you everyone for watching this video and watching my adventure as I learn more steps into photography.
As far as Conowingo Dam in Maryland, I used teleconverters for the Z mount and F Mount lenses. F mount 200-500 f5.6-6.3 and Z lens 100-400mm If you ever use or used in the past you know that Teleconverters don't work well with sports or fast wildlife photography. You could use this for slower paced objects to get the focal length you need but you will be sacrificing in F stop which will be boosted high up to F11. Now you have to go high up into ISO and use less in shutter speed make up for the F11 unless you just don't use these teleconverters which then you will be fine. Had such a headache using them as others were getting their perfect shot. I know, or at least I learned the hard way because I used it and had a hard time focusing on the subject. I thought I could beat the system without purchasing high dollar lens. The joke was on me.
