True crime. Real justice. "48 Hours" investigates the most intriguing crime and justice cases that touch on all areas of the human experience including greed and passion. "48 Hours," which premiered in 1988, has developed a rich history of original reporting and impact journalism that has helped exonerate wrongly convicted people, caused cold cases to be reopened and solved, and along the way changed lives.

when this story hit, i forget which outlet covered it, they made this ABUNDANTLY clear. these ninjas love seein two ladies fight to the death over them...and CRAZY how white chicks can go bonkers when another chick is on the scene. a similar story in california happened when two teenage ladies got into it over this wannabe gangsta and these two valley girls ripped each other to shreds and one of em died...i didn't know skinny white girls can act like that...but when they get down, it's not a joke. south central ain had nuttin on their fury. and this ish right here RUNNIN like carmen sandiego tryna escape prosecution... gettin a NOSE (like where is the money?) job and attempting escape again once aprehended.......omg...the drama is too much. girl need to go to prison just so she can see what it is like to chill for a moment. omg. I hate when women go to these lengths over a man that can't even keep his thing in his pants. Clearly he was having his way with both of them. When a man shows you he can't be trusted - MOVE ON. Now you sitting in jail, a family is grieving; all the while he's out here doing exactly what he wants. And for him to try to down play his involvement in this clear love triangle tells me everything I need to know about him.

The "breakup" seems a fabrication from Colin. He was a player. Catilyn was unaware of the "breakup" as there wasn't one just a made up one to excuse his unfaithfulness. If he had been faithful, perhaps the woman would have felt secure in the relationship. Some go mad when someone cheats on them. He's is complicit in the matter.

@@juliebailey1510 Why did Mo block KA's phone number? I thought her mother said that she would have been very receptive and understanding if KA had talked to her woman-to-woman. Yet her daughter refused to even listen to KA. According to the evidence, KA phoned her several times and warned her to stay away, why did not she move on? Even her father said how integrity is crucial in relationships, yet his daughter was messing with a guy who had a live-in, deranged gf whom Mo was well aware of. Where was Mo's integrity? She put herself in a position she should have thought about more. But, of course, since she's dead, nobody would dare say that out loud. Knowing all along, he is living with and in a relationship with another woman who phoned her and told her to back tf off on several occasions.She was even warned by an old ex of his (her name was Amity), he was bad news, and that Kaitlin meant business. So Mo put herself in a bad position, no doubt.

I think it happened suddenly as result of them having a fight that night & years of built up resentment on his part. I don't even think that he did it because of the other woman, per se. He was building up resentment toward Shanann over a long period of time because of his perceived grievances against her. It is said that Shanann really loved Chris, but she was pushy and bossy and everything had to go her way. All of the big decisions in the family where made by her. She wanted the big flashy house so they got one, and he was the one mostly stuck with paying for it. She wanted another baby even when he'd said he didn't because they couldn't afford it, and she went ahead & not only got pregnant anyway, but basically decided to keep it on her own (he wasnt even allowed to name the baby). She often made him feel esmasculated by brushing aside his opinions and ideas on things, and he was too much of a wuss ... and super passive aggressive, to ever put her in her place. He just deferred her demands & wishes, letting her be blissfully unaware of how much he had grown to hate her. Nicholl was just the catalyst that pushed him over the edge. But even if she wasn't in the picture, he might have ended up killing them all, or at the very least Shanann, because his motive was mainly hatred toward Shanann & feeling like he had no control over his life because she (Shanann) never allow him to control anything. Poor CeCe and Bella were just collateral damage; murdered only because they were unwitting witnesses, in the wrong place at the wrong time.

What a sad, horrible case. Moriah was a talented, beautiful young lady whose life was cut short in an instant by a sadistic killer. I hope she will never be released. RIP beautiful soul.

"In this day and age, if your phone is not connected to the network, you are probably the victim of a crime or planning to commit one." Huh? I would hate to be the focus of that detective's attention. I shut off my phone frequently. In fact, I hate the damn thing. It's basically for GPS only.
@smontone

I think the detective should have mentioned that it is dependent on a trend. Does this person never turns their phone off and it’s suddenly off , that’s suspicious or is this someone who frequently turns their phone off in which case it isn’t.

And where is Strickland, why can't we hear from him... we have to hear about him from his friend. How does he feel that he insisted on keeping this "platonic" relationship with Moriah and she ended up dead because his girlfriend was psycho?

kaitlin took Mo's life and in doing that she wrecked the lives of others, including her own. was it really worth it in the end? and while colin didn't pull the trigger, his actions created- the perfect storm for this crime to happen imo. Mo's dead, kaitlin is in prison and he's free tp live his life, maybe creating another perfect storm. i hope the memory of these events, and the part he played, stays with him for the rest of his days.

It’s interesting how the spurned lover focuses on the rival and not on her lover. It’s the lover that is breaking his commitment to her, but she goes after the rival. But this Kaitlyn was really prepared to live a life of deception. Using someone else’s passport, using aliases, changing her appearance. Not an ordinary woman.

And now she’s trying to get a new trial because her defense attorney didn’t talk about her “traumatic childhood” during the first trial. By traumatic, she means that her parents got divorced and they had financial difficulties.😂

@@mohanish okay I spell it out to you. I didn't say "all confusion". I made a remark about abuse, not confusion. If you couldn't make it out from the language, you could have understood it from the broader context. No wonder you were confused in physics.

I’m really tired of seeing that one pic of Kaitlyn… she is a monster… she is a jealous evil psychopath - imagine killing someone for a guy you aren’t even dating anymore? And did she think killing Moriah would suddenly make Colin realize he truly loved Kaitlyn and want to be with her for all eternity???
