Nice setup, Eric. Thank you for creating this video. An indoor outdoor carpet over the plywood would not cost much and would protect your air matris. Safe travels.

Oh I haven’t though of that! I was thinking of placing a thick yoga mat on the bottom to help give it more padding from the bottom.

I hope this comment helps you be able to get yourself a good foam mattress! Cool setup. I'm doing the same with my 2003 Dodge Neon. Gonna hit the road and visit all the amazing places!

The problem with ANY inflateable product is that it will inevitably deflate from a pin prick. Somehwere, somehow, it's bound to happen. I suggest just buying a piece of memory foam .... waaaay more comfy and you're bound to sleep more soundly. I very much like your no-nonsense approach to making your platform .... simply with the two legs. I've seen many videos about sleeping in your car and folks tend to make it so much more difficult and complex than it has to be. You got this right .... nice.

Great video and nice setup! Very similar to my own! I'll have to grab some of those mesh window covers for the summertime camping.

I plan to do similar but instead of resting the plank on legs, I want to have it hang from some straps attached to the front head rests : ) gotta save all the space you can!!! hahaha
@eriklivingtiny3383

Tbh I can see that being a good idea. Those legs definitely take a bit of room. Also when I'm taking things out from down there its definitely a lil struggle. nothing crazy but still. Also Thank you soo much for watching!!

Unless you are a very light person, I can't see how this would really work. Those front head rests aren't made of steele, and I think that over time, the weigth of an average person woudn likley bend or distort them, no??? I get wanting to maintain the space behind the two front seats, but I think Erik's platform bed is very likley the way to go, with two simple but firm legs.

Thanks for sharing your ideas, Erik - good job. Seems to me that it'll make sense to remove the front passenger seat to give you more room. No one can use it anyway, but that's just my 2 cents. Happy trails.

ALSO!!! consider how the board would move if ever in a car crash. it could be pushed right into you and cause injury! a simple cut down the middle and slight overlap before driving could completely halve the issue : )

Hey Thank you for the concern!! Truly. But tbh whenever I'm traveling long distances the back is usually packed a good bit of stuff! and I think it's enough sufficient weight to keep it down.... hopefully lol. Haven't been in a serious crash thankfully!

This was your first video? U did great Eric 👌🏼. Is it hard to maneuver around to change clothes in the back of your car? I'm very interested in this lifestyle for getting out of debt and saving plus some adventure but just trying to map out the set up. I got a 2012 camry. To remove the back seats or not to remove them...that is the question lol.

Yeah!!! this was my first video ever, where I recorded myself, and it's my first time editing a video also lol very weird talking in front of a camera, let me tell you. But changing isn't the worst, what sucks is sleeping when it's hot, but that's pretty normal I think, even when sleeping in a house. But I'm glad I took the back seats out. Gives me SOOO much more space. Also, it's a tight fit but me and my girlfriend have been able to sleep in the back pretty comfortably, which we would not have been able to do if the seat was in.

@@eriklivingtiny3383 Yeah it is awkward talking in front of a camera. Glad u have gotten so many views and good to hear that removing your seats gave u much more needed space. I hate being hot when I sleep. I bought a solar fan lol...not sure if it will help much. We shall see. Going to try some part time car camping first.

Being a background investigator can offer remote positions as well as data entry, customer service representatives. What can help is downloading the Indeed app and when looking for jobs on there they have the option to show only remote position jobs, also other options such as desired pay range, etc. Hope this help!.
