In this video I am car detailing an extremely dirty Toyota Hilux Ute. The owner has had this car from new and used it on a lettuce farm getting in and out with dusty clothes and dirty boots 160+ times per day and has never cleaned it!
Sit back and enjoy some extremely satisfying car cleaning! 😎
Please leave any feedback in the comments and don't forget to like and subscribe! ✌

Great work...my tips detailing filthy cars for 25 years...almost 100% new results, 90% less time and work....I'm in Australia too... 1. In dry hot weather...spray seats outside the vehicle with undiluted AutoSmart G101...generous mist...no agitation required...quickly blast with pressure washer within a minute if applying G101...dont allow to dry...blast for 5 minutes +...till water is clear...carefful not to damage fabric with too close pressure washer...but close enough to blast away stains...removes 99%....most times 100% perfect seats..1% stains...re apply G101 or prepsol..if using prepsol...finish with g101 to remove solvent smell....blast again...no agitation most times required..except glue, silicone caulking or gum...pressure washer applied fairly close will blast away nearly everything...put an electric heater in the car for 8 to 10 hours...with windows 1 cm open..to allow moisture to escape....in the winter...or leave seats outside a day in the summer...leave window's 1 cm open for several days...saves 90% time and work...and results are almost 100% ...with zero chemical residue left behind or smells being activated by not removing 100% of contamination 2. G101 undiluted...mist door trims, speakers, window switches, avoid window tint....pressure wash thoroughly within 1 minute of applying G101...speakers aren't paper anymore...they are plastic...but still be quick and light with the pressure washer on them...same with switches...only once in 25 years I had to replace a customer's already damaged window switches on a Ford Territory...because they didn't like water and were already corroded inside...otherwise tape them up...or use air tool to fix wet window switches...then magic sponge door trim if need be with undiluted g101 ....and wipe with damp clean microfibre..allow to dry....apply dressing ...door trim will be almost 100% new...with 90% less time and work 3...pre wipe dash , console dust with wet microfibre...then apply Undiluted g101 and magic sponge...on all other dash , console and plastic trims too...don't allow to dry...1 section at a time ...re wipe dirt and chemical residue off with moist clean microfibre again...allow to dry...then dress...CarPro Pearl is a nice dressing...it dries to an oil free touch...it's water based.. plastics will come almost 100% new ...with 90% less time and work

My personal thoughts is that an extractor still would have been a better choice for getting the seats 99% clean to remove the embedded dirt. There was too much dirt/dust in there for the method you used. I would have used that method on gently looking used seats. To each his/her own though.

Hey Ray, Yeah it is good for them tight spaces! Also for anyone that watches the video that can't afford to or doesn't want to buy and extractor, they may get use out of it. 🙂 But I do agree the extractor is so much more satisfying! I just purchased a clear head for my extractor so will be included in my next video. Although the carpets aren't too dirty unfortunately. 😔

Awesome video, Question about removing seats. Do you remove battery terminal before unplugging seat switch and does that reset the radi0? also do you torque the seats down after putting back in? if so where do you find the torque settings for each individuel car?
@theaussiedetailer3207
@theaussiedetailer3207 3 жыл бұрын
Hey Patrick, Yes sure do. It does reset the radio and some radios require a radio code to unlock them which can usually be found in the owners manual or on a card. If they don't have it written anywhere you can also find out the code from the car manufacturer. Removing the battery can also reset other electronics but they are all easily set back to normal with a quick google search. In regards to putting the seats back in I just tighten them with an impact driver but not to a specific torque. 🙂 Thanks for watching! 😁

@theaussiedetailer3207
@theaussiedetailer3207 2 жыл бұрын
Thanks SubieLife99! 🙂 Great question! It is bad if there is moisture sitting on any of the conductive connections behind the buttons which would cause them to short out and rust if left (although I don't think rust would affect the conductivity). As long as buttons are blown out thoroughly with the air compressor there shouldn't be any issues. If there is moisture shorting the buttons out it will just cause them to play up until dried. 🙂

@@theaussiedetailer3207 Yeah mate, an extractor at least 3 times if the client is paying for it because the dirt is caked. Plus I noticed dust residue on the handbrake boot. Lol. Nonetheless that was an amazing job. A ute in that condition is nothing less than a nightmare.

I feel like I'm improving with each detail I do as would be expected. I'm still not perfect but I will get there! 😁 What would you have done differently than I did in the video to achieve better results? 🙂 I get most people didn't like the steamer and vacuum combo and I won't be doing that again.
