Get a foam cannon and spray it down first then use a detail brush to get into all the crevasses like behind the gas door, or any emblems. Then use the wash mit with soap and it’ll make it easier. And you can use a power washer when rinsing off the car to get all the dirt that doesn’t wanna come off

Suggestion I can offer for the floor mats. Use the extractor before you power wash rinse them. In fact I wouldn't even rinse them at all with a power washer. Using it after scrubbing is going to push a lot of that dirt back down into the carpet.

as a past detailer, I got hit with a 10 to 15 year garbage dump that had a giant dog...and all surfaces were cloth or fabric!! your extraction "mud", was tea compared the black jam that filled my huge wet/dry! the leather seats were 1/10 of the time to clean!! NOTE!...if washing carpets, make sure they don't leak into the underlay, or else... you will extract till the cows come home, and take themselves to the butcher! ALL OF THIS is a GREAT VIDEO!! peace to you!

Instead of waiting 20 minutes for the car to discharge after removing the negative terminal, just remove both terminals and touch them together. That completes the circuit within the car and discharges the electronics quickly. Just make sure there isn't a secondary battery anywhere.

Most detailers wear gloves and I noticed that you use eye protection (great idea) do you use ear buds or ear plugs when dealing with the shop vac and green machine? Take it from someone who ended up with tinnitus, use something. The 24/7 ringing in the ears will drive you crazy later. After the onset of tinnitus I buy those little green earplugs that you kinda roll and then insert them in the canal. Very comfortable to wear and should have worn them years ago.

@@TomDoesDetails In Australia we have this soap called Sars wonder soap. Its been around for decades and is available as a bar of soap or in a pump bottle. The advertising was aimed at wives who's husbands and sons fished or played cricket. The jingle punch line was "gets grime , blood and grease of the rod " this stuff really works on everything as a last resort. Another Aussie go too is called " Marther Gardeners Wool Mix " great detergent based on eucalyptus . Im sure in Canada they will have similar cleaners in the super market and I know that in California they have Aussie importers for nearly everything just take it easy with vegemite as it is potent and an acquired taste.

Do you have a special drain for dirty water that has soap and other chemicals that are hazardous for the environment?

For 10 years I’m honestly surprised the car wasn’t dirtier.

Yea definitely wasn’t a disaster detail but wanted to show the difference from general up keeping to actually detailing the car.

I haven’t seen any detailer yet that used the drill brush long enough. I know there are lots of things we don’t see.

Not sure what was on that drivers seat but it was nasty. Does the steamer get hot enough to melt the plastic? It would be my luck the first time I used it melted something LOL.
