Car Review - DF Goblin

5 жыл бұрынThis is the DF Goblin. My friend Jermey built it for autocross. I have ridden with him several times now but have yet to really film it. So here we are. Oh, also, this super cool guy let me drive it. I was very nervous but it was so much fun!

I've seen a lot of turbos on these but I imagine the blower with that hp is easier to control with that light weight. They say you can get more hp out of the blower than the turbo if you mod them both but you may not even want to at that power to weight.

I have rode with the owner multiple times over the past couple years. Especially with good suspension and tires, power is plenty haha

The LSJ (this motor) engine loves turbos. It picks up around 70hp just because of the turbos ability to keep intake temps lower. Hopefully someday soon I'll be turbo swapped.

@@blixxy1320 I believe It can. If you take off aggressively (not dumping clutch) it just squats and goes.

Jump Street24 it’s absolutely awesome. When the Rona goes away, it’ll be out at Chaffee every 4th Saturday and 2nd Sunday.

Raymond Schriner this is at an old military base. It’s the same place we all autocross. There used to be lines of barracks through this area but they all burnt down on 2008 or so.

Where did you put the radiator for the supercharger at?

The kit comes with a really small heat exchanger that mounts under the radiator. It just couldn't cool the ait2 temps quick enough so I made a little "ice box" to circulate the coolant through between autocross rounds. It's pretty much a cheap thermos I fill with ice water. In the video its right in front of the engine. Some of the goblin folks mount larger heat exchangers on the rear above the motor.

Goblin looks fast. If I had the means I would buy an Arial Atom just for roll cage security.

I believe he got after market LED lights and used them. Not sure if they’re off anything in particular.
