This is my first ever Car Review! In conjunction of joining Team Aurizn and EvoMalaysia.com, I decided to review my very own 1988 BMW E30 318i.

The E30 318i is my favourite car ever, I’m fortunate to own a 1988 example which lived in South Africa from new then until last year in Portugal and has zero rust. It’s now in the U.K. and kept in a garage, the only way to keep it dry. I agree completely with your comments 👍 dynamically they are superb. Great video!

Hi Thomas. This was a great video. I enjoyed your style of presentation and ability to talk about your car. I agree with your observation on how the car brings you into contact with new friends. I had an E28 I brought from Germany to Canada. I used to get together often with other owners. I now live in New Zealand. I bought a 1989 318i and had it as a daily driver. It needed some work and sat in my garage for about 9 years. I am expecting it back from the mechanic shortly. It will need some cosmetic work over time and I hope to have it small like your car eventually. Mine is a two door. Thanks again for your video.

I had an 1992 E30 325i. Till today it’s one of the best cars I ever had. The sound and power of an in-line 6 combine with the E30 chassis is unmatched! The car would drift around the corners and still hold its line. Regretted selling it after I busted the engine.

I have one as well, a 1990 model with M42 engine, all around AC Schnitzer kits inside out, LSD installed etc. Take it to balik kampong Taiping every now and then. Reliable and loads of fun as you enthusiastically demonstrates.

Thinking of getting one just like this, 1988 E30 318i, same color but no leather interior. I'm in Ireland and we don't have a great car market, and cars are pricey. But I recently found that gem for just under €10k 😬

Wow. the E30 318is holds its value way better than a 318i. Did you get it? If you did. Congrats man. I almost got an E30 Sedan with the 318is engine M42B18 engine transplanted in it. But... it was sold too soon. :(

Nice review.. Noticed that your odometer not working..dun worry, it's an easy fix. And the glovebox closing can be fixed just need to align the bottom screws holding below.. 👍

Hi thomas after watching your video I plan to get an E30. My mom had an E21 coupe in the 90s but it was caught on fire at jln yap kwan seng traffic light haha.

well,i've been bitten by the e30 bug,n no regrets owning 1,working on it whenver needs arise-coz,end of the day,its the satisfaction,both the drive(exactly hw u hv described),n just glancing at it stationary itself(u knw like checking it out)...priced possession!!

There are interior detailers that can repair these cracks. If you want your car to be in tip top shape, do visit them. Btw, nice review!

Thanks man! I love the car. I found it off an ad on mudah. It belonged to a classic BMW restorer who owned 3 BMWs at that time, one E30 316, this one I bought and an E28. Became friends with him and he just bought 1 more classic BMW after selling this to me. Haha

I dyno-ed it. The Video was very crappy in it's quality so I discarded the video. However, you gave me a good idea. I'll post a picture on my KZfaq Community Tab. Thanks Carlos.
