In This Video.. I'm going to open up Baby B (Yes, that's her name), to CL Chong who has restored and cared for several classics. The reason I asked him is because he is Seriously Passionate about older cars and have owned THREE E30s. So this is his frank and honest opinion on what needs to be Repaired for my BMW E30.
I share this video because I know this could be useful for some people who are interested in getting a BMW E30 but not sure what to look out for. Hope this helps you make that decision to get one of these future collectible classics as well.

I really enjoy CL Chong sharing his knowledge. Real sifu he is. Sensible steps and advice on these oldschool machine and in line with practicality.

Very informative video Thomas! Nice one, sorry about the photobomb, lol!! BTW, the fuse box lid is supposed to have 2 screws on opposing ends to secure it in place, so it doesn't pop open if u hit a bump hard 👍🏾🙏🏽😊

Any recommendation which workshop to go to fix stuffs like power window malfunction, changing door m mirror rubber seals and etc.

@@champswin1610 my car is currently being taken care at NSS service Center at glenmarie for more of the mechanical parts like arm bushings, engine and etc. I’ll show a video soon. I can ask around just specifically for these.

Hi Thomas, I live very near your place and I always hear that glorious exhaust sound at 1:19, sounds like an inline 6. Any idea what car is it? Managed to catch it once, but couldn't distinguish exactly what car from such a distance.

just use original fan clutch. Problems solved. i owned this since 2004 and i am still using it. keep it original. low running cost. come'on. fully synthetic oil is the way to go. best protection. i have mine at 600,000km since 2004.

@@ThomasYap since 2004. i have owned it for more than 17 years! DO NOT modify the car. DO NOT try to be cute to do electric fan etc. Stay original is best route. It can do 1 million km easily.

Ah.. That's a pretty rare piece. I think 200+ 325is only were built.. That would require more than a forum to help I believe. haha. For me, I speak to the uncles and previous e30 owners who unfortunately don't hang out in forums to get the download of knowledge. Like CL here in this video.

@@ThomasYap usa ..so prob more cars here but definitely rust free bone stock is a unicorn as you say. Uncle there is e30 master huh? Is the 325IS worth it over 325I or 325e?

@@JR-fj8ym yeah probably more cars and more variants there. In Malaysia we only have pre facelifted 323i, 325i and the occasional 316 carburettor. Most of the ones running around are facelifted 318i, 325i and 320i. 325e or 325is never landed on our shore. :( best is to look up local forums or private e30 groups on Facebook to network and learn from owners there. :)
