It's truly amazing just how heartbreaking the moment of 4:55 - 5:50 is....these children, even with their neglectful, abusive and seemingly disinterested-in-them mother, still, of course, feel SUCH pain and loss in that moment. The vocal performance in that section and the instrumentation and writing is a torturous, tender, devastated moment in the swirling maelstrom that is the rest of the picture and soundscape. Carach Angren has written something extraordinary here.

I've seen this guys more than 4 times already, my 5 time was in San Juan, Puerto Rico. It's been amazing since I listen to them thanks to a Dutch friend I have. The most amazing thing of my recent concert was that the drummer was selling their merch and talking to the fans and so was Seregor and the keyboard guy, minus the new guitar dude from Cannibal Corpse. They're a humble amazing Dutch band.

They say that religion and metal do not go, but those two things united form my way of being (I like metal but I do not abandon my Catholic belief, I am Catholic but I like metal and I do not stop listening)
@PlayNiceFolks3 жыл бұрын
Religion and metal go fine together. It's MONOTHEISM that has the problem. Lucky for you, Catholicism is a polytheism crossed with a monodeism. Just don't become a "Christian". Those people don't believe in the power of the human. According to the Christians, only one MAN had the power of God.
@shadowsinmymind92 жыл бұрын
Funny coming across this comment. Today is the day that I admitted that I listen to some black metal even though im catholic. Good music is good music 🤷 I always say, "its just music. If music changes your faith then you werent really strong in your faith in the first place"
@shadowsinmymind92 жыл бұрын
@@PlayNiceFolks i never understand the people who put down christianity but listen to metal and later gothic rock which was clearly inspired by Catholicism, especially with ours views of death and the afterlife. I guess our religion is a mix of true Catholicism and the festivals of our European pagan ancestors. Our ancestors were stubborn and wanted to keep celebrating some of their religious holidays and eventually the Catholic church gave up trying to stop them and were like "Fine, as long as you dont worship or sacrifice to gods of other religions"

Three quite calm nights went by Merely the silence before a new tempest arrived All hell breaks loose on night four The children can now hear how father is whipping their squealing mother With his leather belt while she falls to the floor The fear and tension is rising by the day The boy falls asleep but his sister is kept awake By having serious thoughts for the two of them to escape Tick-tock! It's time to go! For there's a crow... Tick! Tock... Ticking on her window She has no explanation why she has a terrible feeling That someone is going to die (?) Next morning they leave everything behind They bring some clothes, water, and bread They run with fear But without hesitation and regret Without looking back Darkness has fallen Two children are afraid and lost in the night They walk on an old road when a car appears And they're too slow to hide Goddamn! He found them! Goddamn! He found them! Goddamn! He found them! His eyes glow like those of Satan himself! He's cursing, pounding, screaming! Throws his son into the car Hits his little daughter so hard! "Tell me the truth. I know this was you But no more, little whore I will punish you like I've never done before." Goddamn! Goddamn! Goddamn! His eyes glow like those of Satan himself! They get beat, locked up, and mistreated There's no place like home! There's no place like home Heh heh heh And she opens her eyes after another brutal night Weeping winds whining hopeless tones And there's no sunshine, it's still dark outside The living room is trashed There are bloodstains and pieces of glass everywhere Father still passed out on the couch "Where's mother?" And why is there water dripping down the stairs? She walks up the staircase and sees her little brother Holding on to the doorpost of the bathroom As if he just had seen a ghost His body is frozen, eyes wide open He does not react to her voice "What's wrong?" A tear rolls over his pale face And then the sight of their dead mother Floating in light red water Flowing from the bathtub She had left the water faucet open Taken an overdose of pills and slit both her wrists No! She is dead! She is dead! Mother is dead! No! Mama, why? Mother, goodbye Mommy, why? Oh, mother... (Goodbye...) When crows tick on windows Oh, when crows tick on windows

Hello, everybody! My name is Mistress. I went to the Carach Angren show last night at Maverick Bar on Rideau Street in Ottawa, Ontario Canada. I would just like to say: A BIG thank-you to Carach Angren for coming to our country and city to play. I was there last night, on the side of the stage recording the full live show on My smartphone. I ALSO had photos taken with each and all of the band members. I got My poster from off of the wall autographed by everybody and I bought their tour t-shirt and CD. It was a DAMN good night and a good show. Thanks, guys, for EVERYTHING! UNFORTUNATELY, SOMETHING happened to My smartphone and I don't know what. I had went home and watched all the footage that I had taken and archived it all in My photos app. I just checked LITERALLY, like, EVERYWHERE, in My photos app, gallery app, and drive...GONE! ALL-GONE! I Am SO, SO...heart-broken. You see, I have chronic pain in My body and, to stay standing up for an hour and fifteen minutes to record a whole live show caused great pain and discomfort in My body the next day. And it was My first time recording stuff since I'm usually a photographer... I don't know what else to say except...I love you guys! You guys were great. If anybody is on this channel that was at the Maverick Bar last night, please comment below. Peace. And stay, forever and always, FUCKING metal! 🤘
