Chevrolet inherited most of its small cars from Daewoo when it first appeared in the UK - a situation it was understandably anxious to rectify. Probably the best of the Daewoo carryover models was the Matiz, a car that was an inexpensive city scoot that you wouldn't get too precious about. That car was replaced in 2010 by the Spark, a far plusher thing that had what we now know as the Chevy identity shot right through it. This ought to have been a big seller, but for some reason Spark sales never really ignited. What's bad news for Chevrolet on the new market can be great news for you when shopping new. The Spark deserved better than it got. Used ones can therefore be a big bargain.

The biggest endorsement for the car is what people may see as a drawback: its simplicity. The lack of amenities means there is less to break over time.

That's what you get with a solid back axle (twist beam axle in this case)

GM did this back in the early 90s with the 3 cylinder Metro. What surprises me is how much Brits had to pay extra for that was standard in the US models

In India this car was available before 2019 under same Chevrolet Beat. I have been using it till now from 2010.

Everything was great until the interior, I’m from the US and the dash & console is very different than what I’m driving. Was surprised to see a cigarette lighter there! Otherwise great review- I’m buying one new this Friday, I’m that exact color!

This is the most shitty car I have ever owned. It rusts quick , paint starts turning a bad color and the black accessories on it start peeling in the first test. Door locks and parking sound start making dragging noises. It won’t start moving fast enough ti get out in traffic. Hesitates big time dangerously. I hate this car. Gas is cheap but not cheap enough for the crappiness of the car. Horrible. I would get somewhere faster on s riding lawn mower. And no the room in this car is dangerous for people bigger Yvan 5 foot 4. I DO NOT recommend this car. So disappointed. My car was barely used and I kept low miles on my car. It was bought brand now and was falling apart in 2017.

Chevy must have given him and upgraded better version. Cause this car is horrible. Electrical system has sooooo many problems.
