We take a visit to the Caravan & Camping Show in Sydney to continue our quest to find the right van for us. Hundreds on display and much more - what did we find? Many we spoke to are bamboozled by the choices - are you?

You are right on the money with your comments 👍 I do like the Bush Tracker, bulletproof van but I also like Titanium or Sunseeker’s Every time I think I know what I want I see something else 🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️

Good work guys, like how much research your putting in. It’s amazing how many caravans are out there. We’ve had a Malibu for a few years now and are ready to upgrade to something a bit bigger. So our research starts next month at the Maitland show. Our must haves are bigger ensuite, L shape lounge, kitchen on passenger side and power. Keep up the good content. See u around the campfire for beers.

Thanks heaps for the video. I’m in the same mindset as your last point. I love the idea of the slide outs or dropping beds, but am worried about them failing at the worst possible time 😅

I guess that having more moving parts is a point to consider. Who knows but there’s heaps out there on the road and have been in RVs in the US and Europe for over 30 years. Can’t be that bad can they? I’m off to do some research on this subject - stay tuned! Thanks for your comments.

Love your channel, it's a great educational and realistic platform to go through the process rather than sign up on the day with no real research and be overcome by bling and promises. Bushtracker in the high end market you mentioned surprisingly don't offer air bag suspension. Kedron is still the leader from what I've learnt over the years around a campfire. Currently own a great kimberley kamper trailer.

I think Bushtracker and Kedron are like Landcruiser and Patrol owners hahaha. The new Kimberley stuff was amazing- completely unexpected. Thanks for your comments Ben.

Google Avida, and you will find build quality issues along the lines of Jayco...... I noticed a lot are over the 130K mark......safe to assume they are made in Aus, but how are the payloads?? Entertaining as usual.......

Hi mate - yes all made here, most have payloads between 400-700kg. The Avida appeared better than the Jayco and has improved considerably over the past 5 years. The market is changing and I’d say in 12 months I’ll be able to pick up a zone for a reasonable price a few years old….perhaps.

My question, is whom was not there? Altitude, Jayco, Kedron?? That Avita ticked boxes price?

You didn't mention Crusader in your vlog. We would love to know what you thought. They are one of our front runners along with Urban Caravans.

I’ve been to them twice now and they refuse to put the kitchen on the passenger side and don’t engage in a positive way (with us anyway - so far) - thats key for us so they’re out. Would be a contender if this option was a goer.
