Hi Folks Colin from the KZfaq Channel Colins Caravan Capers / @colinscaravancapers7307 has asked me to confess my caravan cockups so here they are. Thanks for watching Phil.

Every day is a school day with caravanning. We all make cock ups, some cost us financially, others our pride and time. As long as you can smile, reflect , learn and laugh aft. A great video as usual.

Hahaha Phil done most of them and my one was leaving one leg at the back down as we was leaving a full site 🙈 Everyone was watching of course 🤣

Hi Bill. Of course everyone was watching. I hope there was no damage done just a dented pride. The one I see the most is skylights left open or ariel still up. We all learn by our mistakes. Thanks Phil🙂👍

Hello Phil, I’ve done the brake away cable as well, toothbrush holder left in it’s holder and been found on the bathroom floor with its contents, I used to put two Aqua rolls in the shower with waist master, not anymore, one came out of shower, luckily it didn’t break the shower door, so from now on one Aqua roll stays on the outside of the shower, and up to now that’s it 🤔.

Hi BB. The Break away cable is the most popular cockup. You were lucky with the aqua rolls. I don't have that problem No aqua rolls in Lost weekends 😂. Thanks Phil👍🙂

Done the breakaway before, not on caravan but on trailer, pain to replace

Hi. I bet is was a pain because it was on the Caravan. It took best part of an hour to repair. I have since replaced with a double carabiner one, much better and quicker to replace. Many thanks for your comment and watching. Phil.🙂👍

We lost a jockey wheel on our way to Cornwall, and we were left we just the main shaft, must have been funny for the people following us 🤣

Hi WC. OMG I bet that was a nightmare when you tried to pitch up. I would have been googling the nearest Caravan Dealers and heading there first. Hope it all turned out ok. Thanks Phil👍🙂

I walked to the back of the caravan with out putting back corner legs down and caravan tipped down!!

Hi Brian. Ooops I hope you didn't damage it. I did that at a Dealers Years ago. The Sales Person went white as he had allowed us in without checking the steadies. Lucky for him no damage was done. Thanks Phil👍🙂

‘Confessions of a caravaner’ 🤣. Love the triple C title Phil and some great gaffes there. We’ve left cupboard catches open too. We’ve also thought of a few other blunders since posting our video. Hopefully we’ll all learn from our mistakes 👍. Looking forward to Paul’s video and Graham Caravan Vlogger too. Cheers, Rob & Gail

I did the breakaway cable as well as the draw and cupboard locks but the very nearly total disaster was with a new item I had bought. The lock and level blow up thing you put under the wheel to level the caravan. I went packing up and forgot to put the motor mover on before letting the air out so the caravan swung in on direction and that was the direct of the car. OMG it missed by less than 6 cm a lesson learned. We now have check list laminate for before leaving storage all the way though to arriving back at storage. They are easy to get too so when leaving the storage a quick grab and read to check. Advice is keep them simple so check cupboards not check cupboards in bathroom the check in living room is that makes sense.

Hi James Phew sounds like you had lucky escape. We used to have a check list but now we both have jobs to do it is much safer and easier for us. Prior to this I was doing all the work. Juliet does the inside and I do the outside. This works for us since doing this no more gaffs. Thanks Phil👍🙂

Well done Phil telling all, I’ve nearly done the breakaway trick. I have forgotten to lock the cupboard though, had the toaster rolling around the floor like a drunk on a Stag do! Crumbs all over the caravan. Looking forward to hearing about Paul’s calamities. Thanks for being a good sport. 👍

Gail loves Colin’s drunken toaster gaffe 😂😂. The three of us have made some bonkers blunders between us 🫣.

We have just bought a brand new Swift 580... but we "practiced" first with a 2001 two berth for a couple of years... In no particular order.. Dragged electrics plug along ground - just wires left. Reversing without spotter cracked taillight on fence. Fridge - milk incident (lots of baking soda on fixed carpet) Fridge - cider bottle layed horizontal on rack while travelling... carpet got another soaking. Not opening grey drain... pond in shower tray. Not lifting lid on stove when using oven and wondering why oven kept going out.

@@lostweekendscaravan Hah! New list! Try to use motormovers with handbrake on. Forget to wind motormovers back when parked up at home. Forget to flip drain lever when connecting water barrel and wonder why the water pressure is crap. Water inlet flapping when driving down the road. Being too impatient for the hot water to heat up and getting a cold shower.

We did exactly the same with breakaway cable on brand new caravan. I don't understand why we had been caravanning for years never forgotten it before.
