This is what we have researched and purchased for our new caravan. This is from compiling lists of what is needed and watching other youtube channels so that we are prepared for our holiday adventures.
This is quite a comprehensive list of the items that we have decided upon and given the most accurate costings at the time of making this video. Please check for the most up to date prices if you plan on purchasing any items.
This has been built up over several months to spread the cost of the initial outlay for caravanning.

Thank you both, I found this very insightful and most helpful - we are yet to invest in a 'van, so it's useful to get an insight into what we may be letting ourselves in for... 😳 👍🏻 🐍

Great video for those starting out. We were in your shoes exactly a year ago and getting to know all the bits and pieces we would need. It is a considerable extra expense but essential. So glad we got an awning, the extra space is great and you will love it too. Looking forward to seeing your first trip away...exciting!! :)

Oh you guys are doing great, you've got everything you need and look like you are ready to roll. Putting it all into practice for the first few times can be "entertaining" sometimes and it's definitely a bit of a learning curve... you are going to have a ball :)

What a great film. You are so right this caravanning lark is not cheap. As Northerners like yourselves it bites. Our loft is bowing with the stuff we have.bought over the last 5 months. Good luck with your first trip. Phil and Juliet.

Quite a good overview of the extras associated with caravan ownership. We're fortunate in that we have free storage. The Lunar is our 2nd caravan so we didn't have to start from nothing but we're still having to spend money. Aldi did caravan stuff recently so if you're quick, your local store still might have some caravan stuff left.

Loved it! We bought an RV (caravan) this last summer and it is fascinating what different products are needed in the UK vs. the US. I am new the the channel and looking forward to watching more of your videos.

Thank you for your comments. We love America and have only recently given it a break while we get our van. Would love to come over and do a rally at some point and see some the vast landscapes. 👍👍

Good video guys. We were fortunate in that we tried Caravanning first by buying a used one which came with everything. A few years and three caravans later we have changed quite a lot of stuff. We have gone back to melamine as we are living in ours. One little tip for holidaying we carried our clothes in black bin liners to save weight and saved having to store cases. I am also looking into buying one Safefill bottle to replace one of my two Calors. Be interested to see your video on that. Cheers guys.

Great video. People really need to think about the extras for caravanning or motorhoming. I know when I did my accessories videos I was thinking what did all this cost. Other people were asking how did I fit it all in.

Another excellent vlog, just goes to show that caravanning is an expensive hobby, I've had caravans for about 20 years and love it but It's not cheap. I'm looking forward to seeing how you get on with the Asonzo long term because I'm thinking of buying one next for extended trips around Europe.PS you'll end up throwing that caravan kettle in the bin because they take sooo long to boil, better off getting a domestic one or a gas kettle, just fill it up from the hot water tap and throw it on the hob, it only takes minutes to boil

Fantastic thank you for your kind words. What I didn’t cover if that kettle is rubbish is I also have a jetboil as a just in case. We will let you know our thoughts as we will be taking this abroad and around Europe so will cover the full trials and tribulations we encounter. 👍👍

You'll never fit all that stuff in guys!!! 😁. Another great vid people, Just a heads up, it's worthwhile totting everything up so you know what to put down on your insurance form. We, like you started from scratch, we got a lot of our stuff off eBay ( some of it used) But when we bought the new van, Jules wanted all new gear. . . 🙄. Can't wait for the maiden voyage! Great informative video. Have you plans to put your packed away awning into the caravan? I say that because our packed away awning will not fit though the doorway so will be kept inside the towing vehicle?

Thanks Paul, we put the awning in the caravan but we did get a bigger awning and that was very close in the doorway so put it in the car 😊 Karina

Can’t do this caravan thing far too much money , although interested in the gas thingy looking forward to the film and Lastly ask Mr longton to store my things too it’s get a bit tight here in my premiere 1 bed flat Seriously great film well done guys lots of info

Thank you. Gas thingy coming soon hopefully. I have spoken to Mr Longton and he says that we have taken up so much space they are having to get rid of a staff room 😂😂 so unfortunately have no more room. 👍👍

Nice kit. Been caravanning for years so slowly built up kit. Those wing mirrors don’t look particularly big as you’ve got the 8ft wide Adria the milenco aero range should fit all cars. eBay they are about £30. Sounds silly but do you have a steady winder? Have you thought about a tool kit? Have you got waste pipes and a y connecter? A number plate? Caravan cleaner/long handled brush? Have you got a nose weight gauge? Just thought I’d ask because as your going away straight away you might need some more extras. I don’t except you can wait. Are you scared of towing the new van? Love the new intros and outros. Thank you for taking the time to comment. We do have all the above but didn’t cover these as they would normally come as a package when buying a new van. We looked at the Aero wing mirrors which I preferred but the new SsangYong has angled outers around the mirror so the clamps would not have an area to get any purchase. We got the Y connector and getting the pipes. The caveat on that is we are stopping near to shops so will be able to plug any shortfalls. The plates are being made and attached so all should be good. 👍👍

Here we Tow thank you for replying to such a long comment. That’s surprising about the mirrors because milenco clame that they fit ALL cars. Maybe you need to tell milenco otherwise. Enjoy the Adria. Oliver

Caravans are money pits! I know from experience. Have spent sooo much money on essentials and accessories. Plus we have to pay storage charges, as the drive is too bloody small!!! hey ho

@@HereWeTow - You are not wrong my friend! In fact, im off to Setthorns campsite in the New Forest today, to move the caravan to our winter season pitch. Yep, I have been bitten by the caravanning bug! Only got one so that we could take the dog with us on holiday..... but we love it now. Great video's by the way. We were clueless when we first got one, sooo many teething problems, but its a learning process. Happy camping!
