I've bought the kettle - brilliant, much better than waiting for our stove top kettle to boil and the mirror - this has changed my morning routine completely, as I can now see to put my makeup on ( I can also see things I'd rather not see too 😜). Thank you for sharing. I've also purchased a 1.5 litre slow cooker x

Another great video, thanks. Like us you consider your caravan as an extension to your home with all the touches to make it comfortable and chic. Our friends are amazed when they get the guided tour when visiting us as to how much space we have, the quality of the furnishings and all the little homely touches like flowers, throws and extra cushions. We have been using the folding crates for years, started with the ones that you have but have moved on to a sturdier version for the bottles and cans.. We tow with a pickup truck with a top over the pickup bed so we can store everything in there on the move. The sturdier boxes stack a little more securely and form a good base for a single layer of the lightweight ones. Happy travels, maybe we'll meet up one day! Andrew and Margaret.

Hello. Just wanted to say thank you for your recommendation of the Light Up suction mirror. It was a great little recommendation that we had never thought about before so we promptly ordered one from Amazon and we are delighted. Ours is made by Fancii and is rechargeable using a USB cable and it's great. So good that we think it will reside in our en-suite bathroom at home so we need to order another one. Although we have caravanned for over 25 years, touring extensively in the UK as well as France and Spain, we really enjoy your informative videos and site reviews. Thank you very much. Just came across your video and found it very helpful! We have just bought our first caravan, really looking forward to our first trip. Do you need a low wattage kettle and toaster? Some people say yes and others say not 😊

Hi Loopylou,Many thanks for watching & huge congratulations on your first caravan, we’re delighted you found our video helpful. The maximum amps on campsites is usually 16 but can be as low as 6. With this in mind it’s advisable to get a low wattage toaster & kettle, we however haven’t, we just make sure that nothing else is running when in use ie hairdryer, outdoor heater etc. Hope this helps, best wishes Keith & Michele.

Hello Guys, Loving your kettle - don't want to spoil it for you, however, if you plan to travel abroad lots of the sites only have four or six amps electric hook up. Your kettle at 2,200 watts needs 10 amps and with a supply of four or six amps (at 220 volts) you will trip the site electric hook up. We use an 800 watt travel kettle which will be a little slower than yours to boil but we will not upset the site owner when the supply trips. Enjoy your new 'van especially after the trauma of the theft of your other one. We have been camping/caravanning for 40 years (oops showing our age) and love every minute. Off to the Cotswolds for a week and planning a longer trip to Croatia in May/June. Good luck.

Hi William, thanks for that, we travelled to France many times last year to various sites & luckily didn’t encounter any problems. We usually check the site amps available before we book just to be sure. Our new caravan has an AC limiter which will stop the site bollard from tripping 👍🏻 Happy travels to the Cotswolds (on our list 😀) & Croatia. That sounds amazing! Let us know how you get on. Hi Oliver, Keith is watching your video now & he’ll comment shortly. The storage unit comes flat packed & is easily assembled, no screws involved. It has a plastic frame & metal tubing that all slots together. It’s not really collapsible as such but could easily be dismantled at the end of a trip. When we pack up we leave it erected & just put it in between the front sofas on the rug. It’s really lightweight with 5 shelves & pockets on the sides, two front zips so you can just hide everything away. It’s from B & M, called Spaceways Canvas Storage Unit & only £9.99 which is a great price in comparison to the branded equivalents. Hope this helps, Michele x

Hi I would be interested to know your payload ? We keep a hymer nova well stocked in a similar way to yourselves. It has a 300kg payload. However we are changing vans soon. Most Uk vans have a really small payload . Are you aware of how much you weigh fully stocked, would love to know.

Hi Joanna, Our Mass in Running Order (MRO) is 1516kg, our Maximum Technical Permissible Laden Mass (MTPLM) is 1681kg, giving us a payload of 165kg. We can upgrade our plate to 2000kg giving us a payload of 484kg, which is something we’ll probably do in the future. We tend to carry as much as possible in the car when towing as there’s only the two of us. Hope this helps, good luck with everything, sending our best wishes, Keith & Michele.

Hi Emma, Everything has to be packed securely for when you’re towing to stop things rolling around or getting broken. Everyone has different methods on storing items, we personally pack away all crockery, glassware & bathroom toiletries.
