When I was looking for a new van earlier this year, the Buccaneer was a real contender, beautiful van. I had a shortlist of three. Typically none checked every box but all were close. In the end it came down to very minor preferences. If only we could design our own layout and fittings. I have a feeling you guys will be making a change soon. Just a feeling 😊👍

Love the Buccaneer, a thing of dreams. There is one at our caravan storage yard, been there 18 months and I think it's been out once! Makes you sick!😂 Love your channel, enjoy your winter touring.

I love this. I likeva good nose round the dealers to see what we cant afford. Happy with our old girl though. She maybe 18 but she was luxury in her day

We’ve been passed Greentrees a few times but never called in, we’ll definitely have a look. I love looking round both caravans and motorhomes (H), loved the Buccaneer. My wife and I have a Swift Challenger 650 with the same bed layout as the last van. I’m also 6’2” and unless I’m well down in the bed I don’t find that my feet hit the end board/door. My wife, being only 5’ tall, finds the unobstructed access of the dual bedroom doors far better than the “squeeze” around the bottom of the bed (extended in sleep mode) with a single central door or transverse bed configuration. Hi D & H we have a 2023 Bermuda which is basically the same but lay out is opposite - all new buccaneers have underfloor heating throughout and at 6'4" i have no problem at all getting in and out of the shower - if you look on any caravan forum there will be issues with build quality and for the money you certainly should expect everything to be perfect. We have had few minor annoying issues but i guess thats what is sadly deemed to be inevitable in the current caravan industry. We comfortably pull ours with a vw toureg and until we feel experienced enough we will stick to the local suffolk and norfolk sites. You are spot with going for a nearly new tourer as better bang for your buck as they say however we were swayed by swiss tony at the NEC and the rest is history 😂 Thanks for the great content as usual and all the best karen and steve x

Lovely CL Garden House Tattingstone near to Constable Country and Alton Water really friendly owners and beautiful site they've just changed from all grass to 3 hardstanding so they can stay open no facilities though

Those Buccaneers are big vans Dave. Nice but we also prefer the transverse bed. You can access your bits and bobs from the locker outside rather than having to carry stuff through the van. Look forward to seeing the CL review next week. Steve & Chris

Nice van's.. I've contemplated the buccaneer as a replacement but concluded the change up to a range Rover or similar would be to expensive...the swift offering is good except the front chest draw configuration...can't see the point of opening a draw to open another draw to get something, it would wear thin quickly...on a personal note , did Helen leave you a cookie.❤️🇬🇧🇺🇦

Having had dealings with the Elldis factory in Consett there are real issues with quality We have had 2 coachman’s now and tbf they are very well built I think a lot of it depends on how you look after the vans and also you have to remember that they aren’t what you have at home so you need to be not so heavy handed There is something for everyone out there and if you could pick a bit from them all you would have the perfect caravan I would never be without my Alde heating now it’s amazing So for us it’s the Coachman 575 but as long as we enjoy it let’s not judge other peoples choices Keep it up H and D we love what you do ❤ Matt

Always a dangerous thing to do going to look at new/used vans. My wife and I have often 'popped in' for a coffee at our BMW motorcycle dealer and walked put with 'new to us' bikes 😂 Currently hunkered down in our Bailey Phoenix 640 with the heating on up near Market Harborough on a great CL site. Who says caravans are only just for the warmer seasons 😊 Have also booked up Christmas up in Holt, Norfolk. Great video as always guys! Buccaneers are nice looking vans, we were very very close to going for a Bermuda, but build quality issues voiced on the web put us off, so Adria 2000kg single axle van won out in the end, add E and P, to give similar spec. (heated floor is standard, that was good on last winters trips). Being a twin axle, the available payload available suffers on the Buccaneer too. Now is probably a good time to buy, price levels are seeing what used to be the norm pre lockdowns, although the price to change may not differ if trading in. Your hallo in the mirror is not quite the Andrew Ditton standard though….

Another great video, nice caravans - we discounted the Swift, as like you the wall at the end of the bed would be an issue for me! Also looks odd that the central door opens against the fridge so would have to be closed for access!

Hi mate. Another great video. Not too keen on the Bucaneer prefer a coachman for that sort of money. I liked the Swift. I have just bought the Swift Challenger X 880. I love it. Can’t wait for the walnut tree farm review next week. Thanks Dave. 😊

Only comment on the first van reviewed, after all the excellent attention to detail in the van the inward folding door on the shower lets it down! It would be a squeeze to stand in the shower and close the door, unless there was an area that the camera didn't pick up? I know lots of vans have the issue but you're looking at a top of the range van there for lots of money. Thank you for the review.

The conqueror would be good on the coast road …size is everything..

Hi Both, I have a spending problem and this type of video does not help us. While we have really enjoyed the investments we have made this year, we really don't need the encouragement to upgrade even further! 🤣 We are currently putting a brave face on the £/night at this stage. Car upgrade, Caravan, 2 x Awning, Gas, Bedding, TV, Cables, Security etc etc, total = LOTS! However, the total divided by the value of quality time together in fresh air away from the distractions of work etc are looking like we may have made a good investment. You commented about how the oven was adequate to cook a Roast Dinner in one of the 'Vans, will let you know what we think - we have the same oven. We have booked a CAMC site for Xmas and will be doing a full Xmas dinner for the 2 of us. Maybe KC the Lab' will be stuffed and we have Cheese Sarnies, who knows? Jump in Subscribers? not sure how you have so few with the quality of content. Please keep going the way you are and don't turn into an advert channel like so many others.
