You don't have to take off the front cap or gas tank. Just remove air box that's all. I have replaced many of them 20 minutes and your done.

You dont have to take the plastics off to get to the carb i took my carb off without taking my plastics off.

It’s 5 bolts 3 plugs and it makes everything way easier

Ordered a new choke cable, couldn’t get the old one out of the carb. Expect my new carb and new choke cable in a couple days. Do I have to do anything special or just install and screw plastic connector? Did you connect two electrical wires to the carb? Thanks!!!

I had a little issue removing my old cable too, I ended up breaking it and ordering a new one, there is a small gold colored pin that holds in the choke cable you may need but I can't remember if mine came with a new one or not, the install of the cable was relatively easy after I got the new cable seated into the carb. I believe I did connect 2 electric cables, one was the starter and another that was a screw with a red ring around it if I remember correctly, I believe it was into the bottom of the carb. Hope this helps!

I took off seat and gas tank to get to the carburetor ...why did you take airbox and everything off the front of it i have a 1997 350 big bear

How well has this new aftermarket carb held up? It’s nearly impossible to find oem carbs for the 2001 big bear 400 4x4

Seems like they are hit and miss, I've had 2 so far. One i had less than a month after installing the needle and seat would stick open and not fully seal on. But for $40-50 i can't gripe to much lol

What are the 2 electrical connectors for on the bottom of the bowl, I think my 04 big bear 400 4x4 needs the carb cleaned, or may just get a replacement carb, but some of the replacement carbs i've seen don't have the electric plugs on the bottom, will it run fine without those? What are they for? I'm guessing it's a fuel shut off solenoid, but from the looks of it, it doesn't seem like there's room inside the bowl for a component like that. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks.
