Another great video. I am now constantly sharing that 1 hour 20 minutes video since I want everyone to see it. Nitro needs to make a comeback and that can only happen if we wipe out all the bullshit like "you can't run a nitro engine for too long or it will overheat" or "nitro is slow"

Amen. Or its too messy. Theres too much maintanance. Its alot of work. Blah thats all B.S. Nitro does have a learning curve but its not that hard. All cars are alot of work. You have to take care of them.

JQ great video, please keep them comng. I reached out to Lefty on this subject as well but perhaps you could do a more in depth video on this. I think it will really help a lot of ppl with setting their cars up and understanding how the different weights effect the cars. I would love to see you make a video on diff weights and how running higher or lower in the front center and rear of the cars effect the power distribution and handling\steering.

And iv also found out that the force/ofna venturis are quite expensive and can only be bought in Germany for some reason, so is there any compatible brands for force venturis, like redcat or lrp maybe??

I got a new gs racing r21 pbx2 nitro engine. It has a 8.5mm venturi, and is only a .21 I'm going to use racing 1/8 buggy. I haven't seen 8.5 before? It this too big?

How does once decide on going with a bigger or smaller venturi? For example I run on a small low traction track and easily get 10+ minutes to a tank, but I'm not sure a bigger venturi is needed as I don't need the power.
@invisiblespeedrc
@invisiblespeedrc 3 жыл бұрын
Then it is not needed. A bigger venturi is good to get more power or make the engine easier to tune.

I have searched for quite a while and have never been able to find out any information about why a good tune engine will stall in a tight corner when the engine runs for a while and gets to great operating temperatures and running great. What would be your opinion? It also happens when it's running great and vehicle may roll over.
@invisiblespeedrc
@invisiblespeedrc Жыл бұрын
Impossible to say. Maybe your idle gap is too small, low end too rich, linkage badly built, or your engine is just done

@@invisiblespeedrc watched a lot of your videos and downloaded some to watch over and over. I am very appreciative of your knowledge and has helped me help others as well. Thank you very much for your response. I started studying more about glow plugs and found a great match that ended my issues. I have been so focused for years on carb settings and ignoring glow plugs. What a new view into nitros I have now. Keep the great content coming and I will keep watching...

I thought you would explain that in a more scientific way, it is good and understandable dough. But i was expecting something about the "venturi effect". So the way how to produce negativ pressure in a pipeline... I wonder anyway, what takes more impact to the fuel flow, the "vacuum" in the carb(venturi effect), or the resonance of the exhaustpipe... Would be interessting to see pressures und airflow in the engine

Try to lean the top end a tiny bit at a time. Could also be that you LSN and HSP are not balanced well enough. Too hot a glow plug may also cause that. I would richen up both needles and start over.

Most people won't sit through a 1h20min video, so it makes sense to release the most important parts as separate videos. No, this is the extent to my knowledge of RC cars. I will shut down my channel on saturday.

He doesnt recycle content all the time. There is alot going on on these cars so you have to take into account multiple things when you change or talk setup. The man is doing more for us hardcore RCers than anybody has before. He has been doing indepth vids for a long time now and is very intelligent on the subject of car mechanics.keep up the good work JQ.

No, no, no, no, no, no. You almost touched on it at 2:30 but No! The engine has 3.5cc's and it revs at 50,000 rpm so it sucks that amount of air. The size of the venturi doesn't change the amount pf air the engine draws, it only changes the speed of the air through the inlet - which in turn has effect on the tune - but not much. A smaller venturi makes the engine feel punchier but it's a feel thing. The truth is capacity x rpm = air consumption. Bernoulli is your friend here because physics can't be cheated. Don't believe the hype.
