A really interesting Part One of your forthcoming series on the Cardiff Railway. I thought the black and white photograph of the bridge was brilliant to see as it is the first time I had seen it. Looking forward to Part two and thank you for explaining things in such a way it makes it easy to understand.

Looking forward to the rest of the series, I lived on Crystal Glen in the 60's and early 70's and would see coal wagon on the low level line They were very short compared to the long ones on the High Level though.

I always look at the bridge by Crystal Glen just past low level station. It has space for two tracks but the new bridge is for one. A real statement of what the railway became.

Nice one, Bob. Fascinating video. Your channel offers an extremely interesting juxtaposition to Mike Wilcox's current output, recording the re-birth of the Valleys railway services in the form of the South Wales Metro. There's not a coal train to be seen, mind you... Thanks, and keep up the great work.

I spent my childhood playing on that line in the 1960s. I remember a station master and a manned signal box at Whitchurch; steam trains; two rails and two stations at each stop.

Did you ever take a look at Radyr's shunting yards before closure? I last saw them in 1976.

Only from a passing train. The bridge that took the line up from Queen's Street into the yard is now a footpath, everything else is houses.

Do you play train simulator world 4? It is very realistic and it has train stations like cardiff, neeport, cwmbran not sure about the barry railway and taff valley railway ect

I don't sorry, to be honest I don't get the time. I have seen some great add ons for the Barry Railway however, they look very realistic
