Love your channel so much. It's great to see someone take the time to understand Taylor and her art. It is important to hear an artist out and Taylor has a very special ability to perfectly describe feelings and emotions. The "witch" scene in the Willow video is more than likely a reference to Norse Mythology where the golden strings of fate would be weaved since in Norse Myth your destiny and life had already been written. They were three sisters called the Norns. It connects to how she thought her and Joe were tied by a single thread of gold. Walking into the daylight at the end is both a connection to the final track on Lover, titles Daylight and that the next era would be Fearless Taylor's Version which she was recording during the end sessions of the evermore album.

my interpretation is that the cardigan video is showing how music makes her feel. making music takes her to beautiful places in her mind, as shown in the beginning, but it also is her lifeline when she is struggling. in her dark times, she turns to music as sanctuary which is shown by her clinging to the piano as a life raft. the end shows her reaching for a cardigan to warm her and keep her comfortable. this is symbolic of her relationship with joe. the video is basically showing the story of her life up to that point: music is her passion and takes her to beautiful realms and she is able to make it her career, then the world turns against her during the reputation era and she has to cling to the piano as her savior, and in the end she becomes more resilient and has a cardigan (joe) to keep her warm. the transitioning into willow, we see the invisible string (song about joe) and how it leads her to her current relationship with joe. however, we then see her trying to reach for him, but she's trapped in a box with her guitar. this is showing how fame and public scrutiny keep her from having the relationship she so desires. we always see gold as her description of her love for joe. so we see a scene with witches building up this giant gold structure which represents her love growing. we end the video with the gold invisible string leading her to her love, and they exit together into privacy, representing how she went into hiding from the public eye/media and began living with joe and focusing on keeping their relationship private. loved the reaction!! 🫶🏼

People will try to say these songs are about Matty. Silly kiddies. Watch for the Harry Styles paper airplane necklace as she climbs into the piano bench. It flickers just for a second, but it is there. Then go watch the mash up of the Cardigan video with Style's Falling video. Harry was quoted as stating that their music contained an extensive dialog between them in a major publication (I forget which right now.) Also, Harry is famous for his cardigans. Also, the cardigan Taylor puts on has stars which echo Harry's star tattoos.

I hadn't finished your video when I wrote the above. NeeCee you are picking up on lots of stuff. The cape scene is still not clear to me, even more so as it is repeated on the Eras tour. The invisible thread image is something she seems to have been working on for a long time. She echoes herself often. The sum total of her work is indeed a Manuscript as she has told us. It is also a tapestry with many threads (including easter eggs). If you haven't watched a decent version of Peter Pan, you will have trouble with a lot of the songs. Peter refuses to grow up and the love between Peter and Wendy can never mature because he insists on living in Never Never Land while Wendy returns to ordinary life. The new song, Peter, on TTPD is a riff on Peter leaving Wendy. But I think people make huge errors when they try to make a song equivalent to one person in her life. Writers use 'threads' from different experiences in their lives. There is rarely a one to one correspondence. It is maddening to know so much and so little at the same time. But as Taylor has just told us in a new lyric, "put narcotics into all of my songs/so now your all singing along" -- I may not have that exactly correct, but the rhyme is correct. Of course, music heals her and gets her through -- she has told us that explicitly. She can't stop it from coming and it better because she needs it. Again, on TTPD, the song Prophecy makes us aware that she is suffering from the burden of what seems fated to have happened in her life. She is worried that she will be alone forever. People seem to be silent on the lines "When you are young, they think you know nothing. . .I knew everything" but those lines are also central to understanding Taylor's story. She has seen her life laid out before her and is searching for a way to break the curse. You have to study TTPD to understand how these threads fit together.

My theory is Cardigan is a metaphor for her life young Taylor played music and it took her to this incredible world but then her reputation was destroyed and she was drowning fighting for her life but she clung to her music and then he came along and made her feel safe and warm like an old cardigan

🚨 So they say that folklore and evermore are sister albums. I believe they more like a 2 sided mirror. Epiphany is for her grandfather and Marjorie her grandmother. Almost all of the songs parallel one another and have connecting lyrics!!! When you listen to these albums back to back it's like you're hearing the full story to all the stories she created in these albums. Many of her songs throughout her whole discography connect to one another, but these 2 albums do so in a way that one album completes the other. Like one of those broken heart necklaces.🫶✨️

Watch them again without the pressure and on camera and it will be so different 😊 they are 1 of my 2 fav music videos, besides the 1989/rep era music videos. She just set the bar for music videos since Blank Space in my opinion. Where I felt she truly added things in it that was aimed toward the public/headlines/gossip. I love how she sees her future love in the water. Coz its very folklore.That's like a old tale you hear, especially growing up in a european family, like if you stare in water at midnight u will see your future husband. How her path lead her to fame but in that circus in the box but her future love was on the outside. They couldn't be together untill the dark period came and the public heavily turned on her in a cruel way and suddenly he was there and they found eachother.

NEECEEEEEEEEE!!!! Ok so there is this theory that Taylor is announcing reputation tv on July 13th. REASON BEING…a while ago she wore the “chevron” midnights body suit 6 times in a row. The chevron body suit was designed by an ITALIAN designer. She had proceeded to wear it 3 times in a row, literally just now wearing it Amsterdam night 2!! So if the countdown is correct we are getting the announcement on Milan Night 2! Reason 6 is important because reputation is Taylor’s 6th album!

One of my favorite details about the cardigan music video, is that at the beginning the keys are dirty and broken. And once she goes into the forest the keys are put together. And even when she is drowing they are also fine. I like to think it represents her creativity and music success. In the beginning, she was still developing your music style and lyricism. But during the relationship (the forest) she has learned how to vent and make her music. And even during the downfall of the relationship, she still is successful! Second note is that her putting on the cardigan at the end of the video is her regaining her individuality. She IS the cardigan.

This is super duper random, but yes music videos are kind of dying, except for in Kpop! I don’t know if you ever want to go that route but just know that I would love to see you react to a Kpop music video just for fun. If you ever do a video, I recommend diving into BTS as they are the biggest. Maybe Blood Sweat & Tears is a good music video to start with. So curious about your thoughts 😍
