I was always impressed by the painting depicting the Siege of La Rochelle . With Cardinal Richelie overlooking the defences in the advent of the English Navy. A true image of power and confidence in a man who was born to lead.

@@endlessnameless6628 I know it isn't originally an English word. We have adapted the word, just like we adapted "Paris" and countless other foreign words. Just because the BBC has chosen not to pronounce the T doesn't mean others don't.
