What were you unhappy about with the Sena? I heard battery life is only 4hrs on mesh?

@@BushPrep I can’t say for that person but I am upgrading to a cardo packtalk bold from a sena and my main reason is that the sena 50s sometimes has issues with voice commands and even sometimes all of a sudden switches to radio with no input on the device. As well as I’m on my 2nd set of speakers from sena in a year period both sets have failed and there’s no support for it.

I just grabbed one a couple weeks ago to match my brothers in law I found it hard to hear him with max volume is this the case for you? I made sure connections are tight volume is just low at max

@@WynZillA make sure your speakers are in the right position. I also use a modular helmet. I run my mic on the low to keep wind noise down and volume on high setting then you can adjust your volume on your pack itself.

I think the voice recognition is tuned to the guy in the video. I have trouble getting it to respond, or to properly understand my voice commands, but it got all of his 100% while I watched this video! 😃

I didn't think to look in the Settings on the Cardo Connect app to find the list of voice commands and the online version of the Pocket Guide. I'm not sure, but the online version of the Pocket Guide seems more intuitive than the printed version. It's good enough that I don't need to make the laminated card based on the notes I made while watching this video. The voice commands are a good idea but speaker independent voice recognition is a tough problem. For me, on the PackTalk Bold, it's inconsistent enough that I prefer the buttons, even though the buttons require me to remember which random button to press for each situation. I'm also noticing many flaky behaviors with the app controlling the intercom over Bluetooth, but I haven't been able to upgrade the intercom firmware because I don't have a Windows or Mac computer, so maybe that's what's causing the problems. It would be great if I could ship the intercom to Cardo with a $5 bill to pay return shipping and you guys would upgrade the firmware for me. I'm impressed with the sound quality and the ability to answer phone calls while riding. The caller was very intelligible when riding at 50 MPH with a full face helmet, and he reported only minimal wind noise on his end. Nicely done! I almost never ride with anyone so most of my motivation/justification for buying the intercom was to get voice navigation instructions from my cell phone or GPS. The Android cell phone running OSMand+ worked very well with the intercom system. That integration honestly couldn't be better so far. The only issue was the routing preferences of the OSMand+ app. Even with me setting routing preferences, it seems determined to route me along the least scenic routes. I'm still working on that. Even though I don't like listening to music while I ride, I'm tempted to put some MP3s on my phone and give it a try.

Can you recheck the installation and confirm that the mic is directed to your mouth? Can you check the language settings in the Cardo Connect app (English UK/English US)? Please note that the voice commands must be pronounced exactly as they appear in the Pocket guide and might take some practice at first. Regarding the firmware update, unfortunately, it is not possible to ship to us for an update. We hope this helps, Cardo team

@@CardoSystemsGlobalHi. Thanks for the advice. I'had set the sensitivity to full and the microphone is always very close to my mouth. But that didn't change anything. I still have to speak very loudly and to repeat commands. After one of the updates, I had a problem with voice recognition. Unfortunately, I did not get any effective advice from Cardo's support, except that one, that I probably pronounce the commands incorrectly. The software reinstallation had helped.

I am having the same question, In addition to it Can all Cardo and Non Cardo intercoms can talk together in group/conference?

The amount of times i had to hit play or come back to this video bc it went to the next video or stopped bc of his commands 😂😂

I found the manual radio station scan to be very difficult even without gloves. Pressing the scroll button while scrolling tunes up a station 10% of the time. 90% of the time, the scroll button deactivates the radio. I had to use the Cardo app to set the stations, and it was flaky but at least possible.

@@Liberty4Ever Same here. Scanning for stations is the function I use the most while traveling and yet Cardo made it one of the hardest functions to perform. Just stupid design on their part. I guess their engineers must not actually travel using their products.

hi! I have a problem: when I hear music alone everything is going fine but when I connect with another cardo, the volume of the music minimized a lot, even when we are not talking... BTW we hear a lot of noise from the street... anyone can help me please?

@@luksan1585 Your music volume drops because another connected person's mic is picking up sound, either voice or outside noise. If using a hybrid mic, it has a yellow arrow that should be facing the mouth. Anybody using a half helmet should get the half helmet kit with a boom mic instead. It will pretty much eliminate outside noise triggering the mic that results in your music volume being dropped.

@@montanajem thanks for your answer. I have a full face helmet so the only thing I found to solve this problem was to put the mic beside my cheek pad helmet. Isnt a best solution but it helps a bit.

Hi, Usually, in Shoei, you have cavities designed for speakers, but if you find a way that is more comfortable for you and that you hear the speakers the way they position, then perfect.

Packtalk volume levels are controlled individually - each for every function. For example, while playing music the volume change will only apply to music and will be automatically stored in the system memory when you come back to play music next time. Same goes for announcements. while not in music/radio/phone call modes the volume control will only change system announcements. We're working on a separate video tutorial to go over these in more length.

I have the same problem - this guys voice is very receptive to the packtalk bold ... i fear its about your British ? Accent as I have a similar problem- my fake US accent seems to help - how ironic!

@@dragsam7 Hi, currently we don't have the USB cable for sale. For charging or updating purposes you can use any original cellphone or GPS cable that fits. regarding the logo fading, there shouldn't be any problem so you can ride free of worries.

Agree, it doesn’t always pick up the voice commands so readily and I think its processor is slow and so it can clog up if you ask it to do stuff one after the other too quickly, its also a little complicated when syncing it to a Gs with TFT and separate sat nav - lets just say you have to make some Bluetooth pairing choices as a result. I also find my British voice is so receptive to hey cardo! Hmmm.
