hindi naman cguro dahil naghihirap siya kaya pinasok niya yan na trabaho at tsaka activity director daw siya. Kahit naman mayaman siya kung gusto lng talaga niya may ginagawa eh ok lng yon walang masama kung gusto mag explore ang isang tao.kaya Go Ai Ai you inspire me!

I’m proud of you Ai-Ai for giving importance to being a caregiver. I’ve been a caregiver, since 2004 in Canada for the elderly and it’s a fulfilling job , cuz it will remind me of my parents and grandparents in the Philippines. There’s nothing wrong being a caregiver esp, in terms of monetary rewards. Even some of the managers ,nurses or white collar employees in the Philippines work as caregivers or other jobs which pay more than what they earned in our country. The only thing difficult working abroad is that you do all household chores,no maids cuz it’s expensive to hire one. Thank you Ai-Ai, for being proud to be a healthcare worker. Bravo👏👏👏

Now that I watch this interview, I realize I like Ai-Ai way way way more than Pokwang. She’s humble, honest and kindhearted. She’s well mannered maski komedyante, hindi mataray and maalipusta. Hanga ako sa humility niya for the fact that she doesn’t mind working in a Nursing Home. And she’s proud of her job. . I have been here in the States for 22 years, I learned a lot from this Country and I am use to my life style here which is li me better than in the Philippines. I love Philippines but this country will teach you more!

I worked RN before in Assistive Living Facility in Chula Vista, CA and we have Activity Director who create activities for all the residents and manages all the LN, CNA and caregivers . She’s not a caregiver. She’s an Activities Director in a skilled nursing facility and she doesn’t do direct patient care. She explained what she does in the facility. Ibang-iba ang ginagawa nya sa ginagawa ng CNA sa SNF which is helping them with their activities of daily living such as showering, grooming 22:18 , changing their clothes, going to the bathroom, etc. But I’m not disregarding the fact na vital part din sya sa buhay ng mga patients sa SNF.

Iwas also a caregiver but never regretted it. Yan ang trabahong in demand since nag sarado ang maraming kumpanyA. Nuon pag caregiver ka minamata ngayon oag alam na caregiver ka sabihin ganda ng trabaho mo, malaking pera mo. Daming Filipina caregiver dito na malalaki ng bahay sa atin at mayaman. Dito rin maraming yumayaman as caregivers.

Imagine being rich etc but she choose to work an an elderly home and says it is fulfilling, Amazing person indeed

You’re right about that AiAi, here in America you work mon-fri then your weekend you do the house chores you do everything that’s life here in America no helper. But over all it’s nice the weather as long as you work you can eat whatever food you like.

Any job sa healthcare, secured job yan at mataas sweldo. Mahalin ang trabaho, there is so much dignity in it. Basta masipag ka you will be proud of your craft here in the US.

Ai-Ai you have your reasons why you decided to come to the US. I hope it's worth it kase maganda naman ang buhay mo sa Pinas. Now here in the US you have two jobs. Just like any other Pinoy, you will experience prejudice and discrimination from some of them. I initially planned to retire here in the US pero if I could bring back time I should have focused on making money and retire in the Philippines. Sa Pinas pantay-pantay tayo. Walang prejudice and discrimination from other nationals. I wish you the best.

Dito sa America, wala kaming maid, Ikaw lahat ang gagawa ng mga kailangan mo. Talagang magiging independent ka and you feel rewarded. As a caregiver myself, this is very hard job not only physically but also mentally challenging but it’s true this is very rewarding you just need to have a lot patience and a compassion to not just care but to love them as well.

Noble ang job ng caregiver dito sa America…infact yung mga agency marami g Filipino ang me ari at gustong gusto ng maga patients ang Filipino caregivers….malinis kami sa patient namin at meron TLC …. 16 yrs na akong Caregiver……blessed ako sa 2 nd patient ko dahil Maganda ang benefits ko at sueldo…14 yrs na ako sa kanya at ayaw na akong mawala sa kanya….e senior narin ako at yung alaga ko ay mag 96 yrs old na pero ambulatory pa sya…

Actually ang mga nurses dito ay 3 times or 4 times ang salary nila compare to caregivers. You can get caregiver certificate dito in just 2 to 4 weeks, while nursing program to be a Register Nurse ay 3 to 4 years bago makatapos… kahit ano ang work mo dito basta marangal lang at legal job, then go for it.

Homecare/Caregiver/Personal Care are a decent job here and rewarding taking care of the patients that needed the most. Mahirap lang dito kung may edad na or may maliit na anak dahil walang maid dito dahil mahal ang bayad. God bless you Ai2x

Si Dulce who was there was very friendly and even gave her mobile number sa Mother ko. If I hear it right Sabi niya si works as an Activity Director sa facility sa Stockton , Ca . Meaning , her job description ay Hindi siya masyadong naghihila ng manga mabibigat na patiente from bed to wheelchair . So it’s not so bad on her back . Iyong Ibang pasyente 😢nakakalakad naman to the activity room at Ang iba naman are pushed in their wheelchairs to and from the activity room . My point is, her job description does not exactly involves heavy lifting except kung she chooses to lift each patient herself . Not unless she went to a certified CNA schooling program and took and passed the CNA state examination , a person can then be a state Certified Nurse Assistant otherwise she cannot work as a CNA . And she’s lucky enough to be hired as an AD by the Pinoy owners, otherwise she has to meet 5 criterias to become an AD and one of which is at least 2 yrs experience as an AD in a patient care setting facility . .

Sana Ako din,para marami akong Pera,para maraming magmamahal sa akin.kasi pag Wala Kang Pera, walang magnamahal sa yo.

Most ng mga mayayamang Pinoy nasa USA. Caregivers (most) or nurses in the UK & Canada have their own houses. Di sila sosyal pero maalwang life nila. They can buy what they want. Iba sosyal, iba can afford. CAN AFFORD SILA KAHIT DI SOSYAL

yes and dapat iklaro nya n she is an activities director in a facility, and not a caregiver whose duties can include wiping buttocks. pag talagang yung ginagawa nya , i doubt if she could endure. dapat klaro lang kasi it looks relatable and gives off na humble kasi caregiver nga, when ang laking kakaiba between what she is doing (even wearing a lab coat kunyari) and actual caregivers who do unspeakable and demanding manual work.
