HI Guys !
This is a bit of a different video and I just wanted to start of by saying that I’m not a Beauty Guru/ expert/Makeup artist lol (Clearly! LOL) But I thought it would be really fun to try all these vintage Revlon shades that are still being sold today and I thought you guys might enjoy it too! All the lipsticks are from the 1950s, so I tested the colours and did a review on the lipsticks as well as 2 nail polish shades. I hope you guys enjoy it, let me know if you would like to see these types of videos from time to time .
I also wanted to note that this video is not sponsored by Revlon (Although if someone from Revlon is reading this… HI! Lets work together! LOLL) I bought all these lipsticks based on a list and not really looking at the shades. So when I say if I would or wouldn’t purchase the lipstick, I mean if I was casually shopping and I swatched It on my hand would I like it enough to buy it or not.

ALSO, can we all appreciate the thumbnail LOL because it took me wayyyyy longer than I would like to admit. Took me forever to find similar fonts and I think it looks pretty spot on !

I fell in love with Cherries in the Snow, so had to pick up Rose Velvet, Black Cherry & Rum Raisin too. Such a great formula! 💄🍒

Great video! I have been wearing Revlon lipsticks and nail polishes since the early 1960’s. My mother and grandmother were devoted to Revlon, too. In the decades since the, I have tried countless other brands in all price ranges. I always go back to Revlon. For the moderate pricing and excellent staying power they can’t be beat. All of these shades are timeless. If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it!

OMG THIS IS AMAZING! I really like the last one and the darker shade, they look amazing on you! But my favourite thing was the 1945 Nail Polish LIKE HOW AMAZING IT IS THAT'S STILL AROUND??? Amazing video and idea Carolina!! (the thumbnail is great!!!)

I have some of these vintage colors. Cherries in the snow is my favorite. Raven red is very cool. I love to wear it and think of these times. Stormy pink is not your color indeed. But the other colors look really good on you

The matching nailpolish looks great on you! Expecially the last one.😊 Since I wear vintage clothes I always paint my nails, mostly red. ❤ And I always paint my own nails because I have a manicure diploma since I was 18. 💅🏻💖👄💄💋

OMG I tried cherries in the snow on today. I loved the color, it's similar to MAC Ruby Woo. I purchased the matte one online. Just waiting for fire & ice, can't wait to try it on!

I love cherries in the snow ! It has a bit more plum to it! Very pretty. They also sell cherries in the snow in the shine formula and that version is so smooth and moisturizing ! Perfect for day time. Oooh you’ll like fire and ice !

I actually think Stormy Pink looks great on you, but it definitely gives a much different vibe than the reds you tried. In the pink, you look more quirky/offbeat in a good way. The reds are more sophisticated. Of those, I think Certainly Red and Cherries in the Snow look the best on you. Great vid!

I own Certainly Red and it's one of my favorite red lipsticks ever! I can definitely relate to your time-travel moment :) I think Raven Red used to be a lipstick as well, but they discontinued it. I loved this video!

Just a note that the Cherries in the Snow 🍒 lipstick and polish in their current formulations don't actually match each other, I find. :( (Although maybe you got the modern color formulation of both, so that they actually do match.) I compared the current polish color withy mom's old bottle from the 80s or 90s, and it's definitely changed to become a brighter fuschia from the darker cherry red seen in the original ads--even the shade number is different! The old number is 51, compared with today's 270! I actually emailed Revlon and they hadn't even preserved info about the old number but said their formulations do change. Seems to me they should change the name if they change the shade.... That's why I've been so confused seeing pics and videos online of either brighter or darker lipsticks and polishes with the same name. I hope they bring that lovely original darker cherry back!! 🍒

@@elithluxe7568 I recently discovered Almay's Lip Vibes hypoallergenic, fragrance-free, non-drying, and inexpensive (about $7-8) lipstick in the shade Love Yourself! A nice, buildable burgundy red, which can be surprisingly hard to find at a decent price and formula. Not sure if this is exactly the shade you mean, but I think it would be close. You can search swatch videos and images of the lipstick to check. For a bit brighter and truer cherry, I'd also like to try Maybelline's Superstay 24 hr Color liquid lipstick in Keep Up the Flame. But right now I want to avoid drying formulas, which long-wearing ones tend to be. Otherwise, the color looks good.

Really liked how informative your video was! Love the fact that there are still authentic vintage lipstick colors out there. One thing though... I found your video really hard to watch. Between the super fast talking and hand gestures, I think I almost had an anxiety attack 😂. Idk if it was just me, but maybe think about slowing down a bit. Not trying to be rude, just an observation 😊. Btw, red really looks great on you!
