Same, I prefer the sound of roaring V8's like this over a V10 or V12 any day. The McLaren SLR 722 also has an incredible V8 sound.

Little tip, refer to them as eggs, it's the standard and people will understand better.

Maybe that's true, but then again Paganis of that time could barely hang in with the Ferrari Enzo, the Lamborghini Murcielago or the Porsche 911 GT2. All cars that are easily outmatched today. Meanwhile the CCXR is still a force to be reckoned with, as only a few cars can actually reach 250 mph.

Just my opinion.... Pagani is just a hairdresser car on steroid... Big show but no performance on track

if you love Koenigsegg and want a piece of their history then it's a no brainer

I'd take it over a 918/P1 in a heartbeat since it's more of an old school hypercar and not a tech fest with batteries that either needs to be recharged every 10min and/or replaced every 5 months. If it will appreciate or not is impossible to say as well.

Errr the fact it has a manual when every other hyper car doesn't makes it a buy for me!!

But it does show that you can track a Koenigsegg, but with proper skills and balls big enough to push its limits. The real problem for a fast-on-track Koenigsegg is their development philosophy itself. CvK did mention in an interview that they are building cars without setting any performance target; always push to the limit of what they can achieve given what they have. They can de-tune their engine, or make a V6 version, making it easier for track use, but that are not what they are pursuing. Simply put, they want to build a car with the most extreme performance, and its up to the driver whether they can push it to the limit or not. However, that was when they were just a small company that produce not more than 10 cars annually. Eventually their RnD got better, and they manage to develop more technologies themselves and make their car easier to drive with each new iterations and models.

I don't even think kseg are bothered about lap times, it's a car that just feels special and sounds nuts. Leave the other car manufacturers to fight over lap times and leave kseg to just create mad machines imho! 🤣👍
