Carlene is so talented..I love her music. She is as beautiful as ever, all you rude judgemental ''perfect'' people should do us a favour and keep your comments to your selves.

nicely said....i loved her growing up....her lyrics gave me lots of peace as a kid during a really tough childhood....i'm older now and can appreciate her music alot more....and she's still just as genuine despite all the BS in her life....good for her and thank you Carlene for always keeping that ray of sunshine in your heart....

her aunt Anita was the greatest singer i ever heard live,she was singing back up for June and Johnny in the early eighties, as soon as she sung her first note you could hear the whole audience gasp and whisper"who the hell is that?". June must have seen the whole audience staring at her because at the end of the song she said "this is my sister Anita" she was beaming with pride. Anita sounded like an angel from heaven...literally

She really did "do Cartwheels "across the stage just like she says when she did songs like Fell In Love. I actually saw her play at a dance club back when that song came out and she literally jumped up on top of the bar and jumped around, danced the length of that bar while playing the guitar while performing that song live. She was a 'high energy performer without a doubt in those days.

You can tell she has very strong country roots and doesn't lack any confidense. A real American survivor! Rock on girl!

I think Carlene looks better as a blonde but she still looks good and looks heathy and if she's happy that's all that matters. Glad she's got her life together.

I heard Carlene back in the late 1990s when she played with Lorrie Morgan and Pam Tillis when Astroworld was still open in Houston Texas

She had a drug problem in the late 90s. I saw her around then - she must have weighed about 80 pounds and looked terrible. She's thankfully brought herself back from the brink in recent years after a lot of horrible things happened to her. She looks happy and healthy now as far as I can see - who cares if shes put on a few pounds.

I think she is a doll! These so called country singers now.. the Barbie doll pop singers who dominate the CMT awards.. can't even hold a candle to her talent and charm.

I hope she's found peace and fulfillment now after many years of pain and confusion. Drugs'll do that, you know.

She sure looks different and she's more mellow now which is good for her and she'll be making greater music.

I like this video. She is not boring. I applaud her use of a brunette hair color as a part of her act. I still like her when a blonde hair color is a part of her act. I like her public relations act.

@karentex Nashville doesn't "nurture" talent. It exploits it and then throws it away when the balance sheet becomes unfavorable. Just a fact of life in the country music bidniz. Carlene is one of many artists who has found that out the hard way.
@moproducer13 жыл бұрын
@Gazza63 Absolutely! And she's no longer wearing those skirts that were so high she could pass a sailboat between her legs. Y'gotta remember that she's about 56 years old, and holding up pretty well.

Yes but her transformation is shocking and you have to admit that? I can't even see the face or Carlene that I once knew! Time does change us for sure but within reason I would hope. I still love her singing and music its just that her appearance shocked me. I didn't mean any harm was must wonder what was behind all of it.

Rock on Carlene! I just wish there was a way to delete some of those incredibly asinine comments some people made here. Who needs that?

@NJStormSpotter14 жыл бұрын
What? It can't be...I mean the family tree is correct, but is that truly her? Well, I guess 15+ years hits us all. Well, rock on, Carlene.

This doesn't look Carlene at all. I am shocked but maybe i don't know all details of her life. She used to be a slim blonde lady. Even her face does not look like she used to!

If I saw Carlene walking down the street, for example, I definitely would not recognize her, so I must agree with you.

Jeez. There's natural ageing and there's unrecognisable. And I speak as someone who regularly licked her album covers in the 1980's.

@crapple00912 жыл бұрын
True, no-one stays 21 forever but you can still stay in shape as the years roll by- just takes some discipline and motivation (as well as some physical activity and re-adjusting one's attitude to food/ eating) for the most part. Carlene is quite overweight here, and not just a few lbs. Having said that, she is one beautiful and talented woman- I wish her the best.
