I think what I like most about Alcaraz, similar to Federer, is the creativity. All the other top guys sit on the baseline unless they get a short ball, but Alcaraz mixes things up so well with his point construction. Very entertaining, and obviously an all-time talent.

@@mikemoggerson6651 Seriously! With the prickly Novak "Goatkovic" fans on one side and all the Alcaraz bandwagonners on the other, I think all the other tennis players might as start an alternative tour and let those two play against each other. Yes.That's what struck me most about him.He is an unbelievably good volleyer. His drop shots are breath taking. So this means that he can be a true serve and volleyer, and an exceptional one at that.Yes,Borg Won 5 wimbledon titles, but that was because he adapted.Once McEnroe,a natural and very good serve and volleyer arrived on the scene,it became difficult for Borg. In the last two decades,Novak has often beaten Federer in wimbledon because he is a much more complete player than Borg and can Volley and use the drop shot and lob whenever it is needed. But he.doesn't play these shots often. He is basically a baseliner who has these shots in his repertoire. But Carlos seems to be different. He seems to be enjoying playing these shots even on clay. And he can also defend from the baseline.I am not sure, but are we already seeing the better versions of both Federer and Novak in him? Probably that was what Novak also hinted at in his post match interview. What this actually means is that for the first time since Rod Laver, one person may start as favourite in all four Grand Slams. But Novak is like a wounded tiger. He has an indomitable will.It was this which helped him overcome Federer. So let us wait and see whether will triumphs over flair once again.Despite all of Carlos talents, the Wimbledon final was a close one. That many have already written off Novak is actually good for him.The pressure to win will be less on him and that would be to his advantage.
