There will be someone who throws a perfect game then people would have gull to comment “it was against the ___, it doesn’t count”. Same goes for the people calling players “soft” after taking 100 mph to the skull and leaving right after. It’s ridiculous

Whenever someone accuses me of jinxing a perfect game, I just say "I wish I had that much power". So yeah it's ridiculous, but I think Michael is wasting his breath on this.

this is probably crossover from new fans that watch the nba. i swear there is a statistical improbability with players with incredibly high free throw rates missing after the announcers mention it. maybe, maybe not, just think thats where the new idea of jinxing through broadcasting is coming from

no it was always about the players. and fans just want something to blame when it ends even though most do end which is why its so ridiculously hard to pitch one. hes 100% right. its just fans not understanding what the actual jinx is

There are lots of broadcasters who don’t say anything. They may say something like something magical is happening but not the actual perfect game or no hitter words.
