When Harry Belafonte introduces you.......you know you are THE MAN! Saw him at LAX Airport in 2004. Didn't want to bother him so I put my hands together in praying hands and bowed slightly without saying anything to me. He smiled and beckoned me over. I didn't ask for an autograph or say a word. He waved me over to him and gave me a hug and wished me "travelling mercies" and he disappeared into a black Yukon. That memory is way better than his signature. Brava Senor Santana. Listening to your music is like taking a trip through the UNIVERSE!

Bravo MAESTRO! SANTANA is a living legend! I am over 70 years old, I am from the old Soviet Union(from Yerevan,Armenia). It was difficult then to acquire your recordings and listen to them. because there was an iron curtain between the Soviet Union and the outside world. I finally got to see the Legendary Carlos Santana in concert in Atlanta, after being transformed in my youth decades ago, through video of his 1969 Woodstock performance. When I heard drum machines and computer-generated beats taking over the airwaves & industry, I couldn't help but protest, "That's not percussion!" "If you want to hear percussion, go listen to Santana!" (Still true to this day. His rhythms captivates the heart.)

@@maryrosekent8223 Turlock California in the summer of 1968 at the War Memorial. Santana was a relatively new band, few in my small town had heard of the band, so there may have been 15 people there. I thought they would pack it up and go home but they stayed. It was like my friend and I had been blessed with a private concert. Never felt so much love, joy, deeply spiritual rythmic messages. My heart was opened and Santana's love entered my soul and has stayed with me all of these years. Love Carlos so much, thank you God for leading me to him. A major blessing in my life. Now I have the pleasure of hearing other bands in open air concerts, in another small town in Cali, that have been guided and tutored by Carlos.

I am so happy that I met him. Not only that I spent a whole weekend with him and plenty others. This was the early 70's . He played at the Cow Palace in San Francisco Ca. for New Years. However, he did spend a weekend visit at San Mateo Ca at his cousin's house. No motels for him when you can spend time with family. And yes, he is only been true to his family. They mean everything to him. He is a real family man. that's what makes him real. And of course I was there. My boyfriend's house was just around the corner. Thank-you Carlos , for teaching me that weekend it's only about a family.

We (the people) don't need the Presidential Seal of approval, to feel, deep inside, the magical current of Santana's unique and captivating music. Still, having Mr.& Mrs. Obama bringing theirs (never go to a party empty-handed, Mamma says) was inspired, and overdue! I was happy to see them there! And, happier still, to take in the brilliant delivery of the most original, suave, elegant and talented M.C. alive, Mr. H.Belafonte!!! I know he inspired, (even wrote) the intro! Golden, precious in sincerity, sharing his aww (as a gifted performer) with the celebrated (since 1965) Carlos Santana. We (the people) are not worthy! But, humbly, doing the bow, are locking this Master Class moment in our hearts! Thank you! 🤩🤗💃
