They invented something which No American artists could have down. Before they came to the US they were already famous all over the world. I’m 69 years old and was a fan from the moment their music was played here in the United States, and then hit the Ed Sullivan stage. He's played over 40 different instruments on record, and plays each one of them in a uniquely melodic and original way - even playing the stringed instruments often upside down and back to front! People will still be studying and listening to his music hundreds of years from now.

Watch Dave Grohl's documentary "Sound City" about the revered L.A. recording studio, and you'll get a taste of what a talented and intelligent guy he is. AND there's a great jam session in which Sir Paul comes in to play with him! If you appreciate Grohl you'd LOVE this documentary!

Oh God, me too! I loved them since I was 4 years old. John was my favorite to be honest. Just shattered me when he was shot. Esp since it was so unexpected & brutal ss he just sang & stood for love & peace. Couldn't listen to any of the music over a year or I'd just cry. Now, I love listening to it as it brings back fond memories. Might not be as bad w Paul but then again it might as it'll signify even more, an end of an era & my generations music. Although, my 19 year old daughter loves that music too.
