Martin Dennis Have read some of your posts and enjoy them. What you say is so true. Traditional religion is hypocritical.They also teach Jesus himself was a hypocrite. As I am very sure you know. That a hypocrite is a person who professes beliefs and opinions that he does not hold. Jesus himself professes the beliefs and opinions below. Now they teach he is going to be the Judge. Just how in God's name can he be kind to the unthankful and evil and be merciful, and judge them to be cast into a lake of fire? And when they were alone, He explained all things to His disciples. IamVickie Sur "God" is something metaphorical, for the transcendent consciousness. He just had an enlightenment, because his heart was speaking, so he came in contact with the transcendent consciousness. It's more a principle than a person, like he also says : "God in you, through you and as you." It's not some spooky separated entity on a throne like in christianity. It's a part of us, our higher self, the eternal and infinite knowledge. The christian god is a fable made up by lazy people who always project the things they need to do and be themselves on someone else. If it's projected on someone else it's nothing but idol worship.

"Letting your heart speak" is the same figure of speech as "coming to your senses". "Have a heart" just means "have some empathy." TheBookOfWages I see your point and I understand that it's a figure of speech but I call attention to it because the religious will use this as being something separate from their mind/brain as if there is something other than this. IamVickie Sur I sometimes use words I don't want to use but it's part of the language, and I know these words are often misused and abused by christians, but with spirituality I mean non-materialism, because materialism can be a trap as well and should also be proven. When I found out by my study of the ancient cultures, etymology and bible history etc. that christianity and the bible was a big lie, yes I went down to the point where you are that I wanted to have proof for anything first, as I didn't want to build my house on the shifting sand again, but I also wanted proof for the material world. I do not trust the material world right away, as it could have been a creation or illusion of something evil, same as that christianity is evil. Humans often think they are the only ones in the universe, but there can be life in other frequencies, unseen to the human eye. I am not a humanist in that sense, that I suddenly believe in man and that whatever man experiences by the five material senses is the absolute truth, as then that is a new religion. I am openminded, and yes to be agnostic is the best way as a start, but I also know there can be much more trickery going on than just religion, so I want it to be scientific and technologic until it becomes really "waterproof", so not having any beliefs anymore but clear facts and being in contact with absolute reality. Everything needs to be tested first. It's better to live with questions than with false answers, but meanwhile it's the best to live a good life, being good and honest to others, because christianity was more like being good to others while holding a knife on their throats at the same time.
