Carly really does these old torch song standards very, very well - she really have a great voice for them. She should records a couple of albums of these types of songs - they are so appealing to many of us.

Large and medium sized cruise ships usually have a few dozen musicians on board and they mix them to make show bands, rock bands, jazz bands, small classical orchestras and lounge music ensembles. They often have half a dozen live music venues with different shows on every night. So most of the musicians would be employees of the cruise line, although Carly Simon's daughter Sally Taylor is back up singer and occasional guitarist on other songs in this set, so Simon might have bought one or two other members of her own band along as well.
