I think the style of swing would depend on the understanding of what a saber blade is. Some people have said the blade would be weightless so it'd be like holding a fencing saber, all the weight in the hilt/hand. Other's think it's like moving a gyro around and you are pushing against the forces that contain the plasma. I would think the darksaber by design would be a lot more slashing and cutting, like a traditional sword.

Lightsaber blades are not weightless the plasma has weight and all Lightsabers weigh differently based on the person who uses them. This was explained in Star Wars Rebels When after igniting the blade Sabine stated that the Darksaber is heavier than she thought Kanan said ''Energy constantly flows through the crystal. You're not fighting with a simple blade as much as you are directing a current of power. Your thoughts, your actions, they become energy. They flow through the crystal as well and become a part of the blade." and the more you are connected to it lighter it will feel.

If lightsaber blades had no mass, then they could not block other blades or deflect blaster shots. They would just pass through each other. In Star Wars canon, blades consist of plasma, just like the blasters fire plasma bolts, not laser bolts. So, when Luke Skywalker uses the term 'laser sword' in a scene - that's the writer not knowing the lore.

@@Nonexistingonthsiplaneman Kanan was referring to the darksaber specifically, because it's not like other lightsabers. When have we seen someone pick up a lightsaber and say that it is heavy? never, only with the darksaber. Because that's the way Tarre Viszla designed it. Finn is not a force user and he was able to use Anakin's lightsaber quite easily, just to put one example.

Love your reviews and spin test! The darksaber looks really cool, I want it. I do have to say though, with most sabers getting an 11/10 score, it's hard to tell which one is really the best. But I totally get your enthusiasm!

One of the most unique lightsaber blade design in the Star Wars universe, and love the hum sound. Episode 2 was glorious! Brought back one of the most important Mandalorian lore in Legends that set back to the time when the Taung arrived Mandalore, faced such inhabited creatures, until all had fallen... but one. If only there's a series that focus on Mandalorian Tales that goes all the way back to Mandalore The First.

that was really cool my favourite part of this was around 5:20 to around 5:30 when you did that spin and turned then transitioned to sword techniques block, thrust etc think you mentioned in previous video you did marital arts as it really shows plus reminded me of the jedi of died in the fall of coruscant and tai chi chi sword form etc. think its just fluid and give sense of realism , plus it looks awesome , i am tempted to get the broadsword one at some point

According to the Mandalorian lore - the wielder of the Darksaber had to channel their focus solely into the weapon. If their thoughts were elsewhere, the Darksaber would feel heavier as a result. So anything on your mind?

I just wanted to say that you’re the reason why I currently have a darksaber on it’s way to my house as I’m writing this!!! 🥰 I recently seen an ad about the darksabers so I came on KZfaq and type it in and your channel was the first one to pop up so I said: “To hell with it, I’m gonna treat myself!!” I just have one question for you though: Will I be able to do all of those cool moves with the saber right off the bat or will I have to look up some “How to move like a Jedi” tutorials to do so??? 🤔😂

FYI, your videos are helping me decide on buying my 1st lightsaber... even though I still can't decide. I want a Darksai V2 from Kaizen Saber and eventually install a Ripper Blade, but I want to have something faster (the matching Ripper Blade is custom made, and only available in batches).

Since the camera amplifies the light so much, it's the saber that looks the most like a lightsaber, it's so cool !

Interesting though. If it uses a laser beam to damage stuff just like a lightsaber then it's sorta silly for it to have an edge. I guess the advantage would be you can make thinner cuts than you could with a lightsaber.

My only issue with this one is the black part of the blade still shines so it just looks like a white blade when you did the spin test. I will say one thing I really liked about the black series elite darksaber is that the black part of the blade stays completely black. It’s just a bummer that up close on that blade, you can see the individual white leds. Out of the non licensed darksabers, this one is probably my favorite

cameras generally pick up more light then what you see with a naked eye hence the reason it looks like a very big blurry blue instead of black with parts of white

Kinetic, or centripetal force created through the "Saber Spin", one of the two, eventhough it's really quite a trivial little thing.

I like to think that saber blades aren't weightless and have an amount of weight depending on the user. Like the Kyber crystal resonates with the original user and to them it's the ideal weight while to others it may seem like it's extremely heavy.

That's not the case. If it was, every time a Jedi used other lightsaber than his/hers, it would have been noticeable that he had to struggle to use it. The lightsabers probably just have a standard weight and the darksaber is a special case.

@@juanrebolledo8123 The Darksaber also attracts other lightsaber blades to it somewhat like a low-power magnet. This, with the weight, allows someone that doesn't have a Force users speed, strength, & Force timing to actually keep up with them in a duel. The weight can help them over-power them & the attraction can help keep up with their movements.

I have the same darksaber, and I would strongly, STRONGLY recommend you be careful hitting that tip against the ground. I've had mine for little over a month and three LEDs at the end went out after I was doing some light tip dragging motions, and I've yet to find anywhere that sells a replacement blade. I think it should be possible to pull the strip out and replace it, but it will be a risky endeavor, for sure.

This version might be the closest thing to accurate besides Korbanth one. But more affordable I believe. Looks amazing! I really should aim this one! (CCSabers one) 2 Minor problems may be from the blade. Matte black can be easily scratch and the LED strip exposes too much on the edge. Other than that... probably the best one I ever seen.

Beautiful saber. Kinda wish they toned down the brightness of the blade when lit so the black would stand out more like it does in the show. But that's just being nit picky 😆

yes! just click the power and aux button at the same time to go in and out of volume change mode, then the top button turns the volume up, and the bottom one turns the volume down. pretty easy!

I’d be wary on using it for dueling, unless the company sells replacement blades-I’m assuming they’d be way more expensive than normal Neo Pixel blades too if they’re available.🤔 I had a different Darksaber hilt that utilized a Xenopixel Core the round Neo Pixel blade, and gifted it to an old friend from grade school.🤙🏽

Nice... It's possible that since it's the Dark Saber, with different blade dimensions;. It's entirely possible that the blade itself throwing kinetic energy off differently than a round bladed saber... I honestly don't know for sure, but it is within the realm of possibility...

Hi, does Mando saber, Neopixel Proffie 2.2 version, have motion control? SN Pixel V4 version has it and it sounds strange to me that the more expensive version doesn’t have it as it’s not detailed in the features. Thanks.
