I want to share my Melo story. I went to school near the Pepsi center. One day after my last class I was at the gas station filling my tank. There was a stray dog and I heard some dude howling and barking at it. I was like wtf is this guy doing? I turn around and it’s Melo howling lol. He was filling his tank. He was talking on the phone but I walked up to him, shook his and and he nodded at me. We didn’t say anything to each other and I walked back to my car. Lame story but it was crazy at the time. Was cool that he shook my hand. He was a big deal to me because I followed him at Syracuse and he was the savior for the nuggets. I called all my friends right after I got back in the car. That was 15 years ago. I’ve always loved Melo

Melo was in the middle of his prime when he left Denver in '11.His prime lasted a good while 2005-2016 a d thats 5 prime years in NYC ....his best season in his New York's years and closest was 2013 playoffs, they should have beaten Indiana in 7 games but lost in 6 unfortunately and they would have lost to Miami in 6 but would have been nice to see that.If Melo had played in equal opportunity offense and a greater level coaching staff and a greater teammates he would have won at least one title......but would have won 3 atleast with Detroit if Joe D didn't fuck up and draft Darko instead of #15 ...

I watched this clip and so much love for Melo. For me? He’s talented but he isn’t a good leader. He could get a bucket anytime but defense? Meh. And saddle that with an incompetent front office, it’s gonna be a disaster. Add injuries to Amare, it’s only made it harder for Melo to succeed. Phil may be the GOAT coach but as a president? Similar to MJ as an owner, questionable.
