@@STREETMACHINETV only problem with blowers are you need to piston swap, just give it some ring gap and a small tickle of NOS.

We have seen alot of boosted engines and that's great but you should keep this Hemi NA intake cam extractors make it a crusing beast.

Just bolt the bastard in and drive it. Pretty sure that old wagons goin to need mucho brake/suspension/steering upgrades to handle that lump in stock form. Can always power up at a later date if necessary.

I wouldn't go too nuts with it. Just do enough to bump it past 500 crank HP for the bragging rights.

Hey Scotty, Great Choice Warm up the shifters in the tool box mate Cam it, upgrade lifters and springs and obviously a tune and thats it. Just make it a clean cool cruiser.

Very cool - cam kit, manifold and sweet extractors are all this would need to make the wagon a very neat ride - leave the hairdryers to the Nissan drivers 😂👌

Keep it simple, intake and maybe cam. Leave it mostly alone, give the wagon some attitude but make it into an awesome cruiser with burnouts for days.

Mild cam, decent intake, decent tune and leave it naturally aspirated. There isn’t much like the sound of a healthy aspo V8.

390 Hemi Cubes needs no boost, as you said its a torquemonster and with a 727 and trick Converter I reckon the Wagon will have its hands full not turning into a pretzel even with the K Frame. I say pop a Cam in it and a dyno tune and see how you go, Id say mid 10's is achievable with the right rear end treatment in such a light car but I can see a Cage and sub-frame extensions in your future. And with the scarcity and cost of old school Mopar engines this Modern Jeep Mill is an awesome choice.

My 2c Scotty, nice accessory drive system from someone like vintage air with air-conditioning. Get it in as a stockie, everything working, get a nice baseline then go nuts if you want. Good to see you back in business.

I like it! Keep it N/A Scotty. The intake seems like a reasonable easy upgrade for some good gains, may as well do cams while it's out of the car, and exhaust. Tune it up for 550hp, it'll be an absolute monster wagon.

Excellent choice of motor for the Val! I would love to see a manual transmission behind it. I think it would be awesome to see it built into a powerful NA motor (big cam etc, make it sound angry). Looking forward to the next update on the wags.

Cam, springs, lifters if its got the DOD, headers and intake, tune that's it ,you should get at least 640HP at the engine with a mild cam and tune. try for 640 HP that way it match the engine 6.4 lt etc. cheers. 🏎✔✌👍👌🙌😊

Hey Scotty I reckon leave it as it is and then build a boosted 265 for the other wagon and see if you can get the 265 to go as fast the 6.4

Hey Scotty, I think it’s keeping it n/a would be best. Some cams, a decent exhaust, flex-fuel and some a/c would work a treat. As for transmission, a tr6060 would be amazing for street and strip. Keep up the good work 👍🏼

6.4 is a beast straight from factory. Forged crank, sodium filled valves, high compression, twin spark, variable vale timing, piston coolers, variable controlled tuned length intake, floating wrist pins and much more....it’s Ducks guts for NA power out of box...., however, be aware early 6.4 have weakness, and its the roller lifters. Roller lifters fitted to 6.4 from 2011 to 2015 production are ones to watch out for, 6.4 produced 2016 onwards are fitted with heavy duty roller lifters commonly referred to as Hellcat lifters. Also, Hemi MDS (multi displacement system) is not cause of lifter failure. That’s GM issue.

I've seen quiet a few 300c's up for wrecking lately i think a 300c dash & seats in the old Valiant would be cool to go with the 6.4 (you can always mod it later lol)

Wouldn't go nuts on it you have a good collection of fast cars in the stable. Cam & intake plus tune sorta deal. The wagon would be a mint cruiser.

Supercharger, Scotty! You gotta love the oomph on the low rpms where you are when you're doing most of your street driving. Do the IHI 2380cc twin-screw charger off the Hellcat motor.

Worked at a jeep dealership for 6+ year's. Get new lifters and the rocker arms can be trouble too. Other than that they go really good. Head work cam decent intake exhaust. Seen a few come into the dealership supercharged 😏

That's already a lot of hp for a lightweight valiant daily driver. Up to you of course. I can't wait to see it either way.

I agree with what seems like the majority of comments here, leave it NA with a cam and intake and play with it later if you need to. But quad throttle bodies would look old school awesome too if there is a manifold to suit and a slight bonnet bulge to hide them.

If the plan is for the wagon to be a fast cruiser then I'd say air con if possible and either a blower or stroker for good low end grunt, maybe a mild cam and intake.

I’ve got a cammed 6.0 sedan Calais ve, but I’ve been eye balling a grand Cherokee 6.4 and cam it lol 😆 I’m pretty keen to see what you do to it

I took my niece's Grand Cherokee SRT-8 for a drive. Leaving a stop light, I gave it about half-throttle and was up to 120 km/h (75 mph) in a few heartbeats! I can barely imagine what this engine will do in the Valiant wagon. If you can get another hundred horses by adding a cam and intake (and exhaust?) I think that should be more than "adequate" ... 😉 Cheers, and stay well.

I was watching the engine unwrapping going, it's going to be a 6.1, probably just a bigger cam, new intake, full exhaust and tune will be plenty.

17 lb of boost you should be able to do 9 sin that station wagon I can't wait for the build brother you may have some hiccups but who cares that's going to be sick. Keep up the great work on your videos brother you're doing great

The 2 biggest things I'd change is pistons and rods! When you start boosting them make sure your rings are spread enough so they don't break the upper ringland!

A cam+spring swap + tune will be your best 'bang-for-buck' But it's a prick to fit, as you have to pull the heads. But a good oppertunity to give it a birthday, new gaskets, valve-stem seals, waterpump, timing set...) maybe even have the heads surfaced and valves re-cut. great choice of engine :) would be great with a stick shift

I would do a nice cam, intake, headers, and air conditioning. Everyone throws on blowers & turbos, would love to see something NA that has enough power to cut skids & run a good time, yet be an awesome cruiser

holley have the Terminator X wiring harness for these, also have kit for the 6sp box if you want, and yella terra have a bolt on supercharger (think it fits the 6.4) but N/A is good for a start!!

I have a 6.1 hemi in my WH srt8. It has been stroked to 7ltr and supercharged. That would be more than you need for the wagon.

6.4 Hemi pistons have ringland issues when boosted, keep it NA, do a VVT/MDS delete with a lumpy cam, that Holley intake manifold, headers and you’re golden mate!

It certainly is a worthy power plant for the wagon, get it running first see just how good it is before transplanting other parts. as for a transmission, I think the car will see the strip now and again, but not often enough to get in tune with a manual. So an auto with overdrive is a must, I think it will be racking a heap of highway miles, so make them effortless. I am sure it will get asked to any and everything, so it can't be a one trick pony

I would keep it NA with cam and intake... I was thinking a Haltech Elite 2500 for dbw and vvt setup. Later model Torqueflite 4 speed (O/D 4th) if it's in your budget. Depends on if it's a cruiser or 1/4 mile weapon. Give Scott Hilzinger a ring ;)

I'd keep it standard with a nice exhaust to start with and if it gets boring, cam and intake. I thought for all money a Mazda rotary was finding a home in the Val, couldn't think of anything better:)

I definitely think cam and intake for this, keep it a nice respectable cruiser. Who knows if that chassis will handle a boosted hemi without huge amounts of brake, suspension, and chassis upgrades

Will you collaborate with Tuff Mounts to make engine mounts for the wagon? I don't see late model Hemi v8 engine mounts for early Valiants on their website. No doubt you're not the only one thinking about this swap.

Fat cam, intake, full exhaust, PCM flash, maybe a Gear Vendors unit for the Toqrqueflite, that thing will take the highway in its stride!

Sweeeeeet! Keep it N/A with perhaps a cam, lifters, intake, ECU and headers. The latter may prove a challenge unless someone the likes of say PaceMaker or TTi decide to make a commercial set for RHD hemi swaps.

Scotty just go full balls to the walls with this. Big cam, and blower. Everyone loves the sound of a lumpy v8 then on top of that add the sound of a baby crying (insert blower noise) under the bonnet and it sounds amazing. Add air con as well because well your not a pleb.

nice.......modern motors need a cam swap too sound tough at idle....... and a 100 shot NOS.....run 10's and then it needs a cage......how far down the race car road are you willing to go?....

Extractors and a tune will be enough to flex the old Val. Bugger you didn’t get the alternator and all the accessories with it.

Just make sure the change the dog bones . As they are plastic and do brake . The last thing you want it spinning a roller lifter giving it a hard time . Dont turbo thats boring . Either super charge or just cam and intake really in a a body will be quick as it is

Leave it NA Scotty. Fit mild cams, maybe an intake manifold upgrade, definitely a good set of extractors and a tune. It will still go like a scalded cat.... It will need a ‘good’ auto to handle to the torque. I’m really looking forward to this build. 👌
