To get Supermang ready for the dyno, and Summernats Slam, we do a full manual conversion to the Turbo 700 transmission. It's a complicated process, this should be viewed as a guide only - not a step-by-step how too.

Would just say "manual conversion" not full manual if it were.
@DodgyBrothersEngineering
@DodgyBrothersEngineering 3 жыл бұрын
@@justin3131ify understand your point, but I guess anyone who was ever modified a transmission would instantly know that full manual meant a valve body mod / swap. It is just one of those industry terms that has been around forever.
@DodgyBrothersEngineering
@DodgyBrothersEngineering 3 жыл бұрын
@@justin3131ify I think the term came about because there is an intermediate step where you can massively increase the crispness of the shifts (partially making it more like a manual gearbox shift, and allowing manual shifting) without making it into a full manual. So the term "full manual" was adopted to imply that you need to shift it otherwise it is going to stay in that gear.

Both Summit and Rockauto are WAY way quicker on freight than almost anything Aussie for general auto parts and then its up to local freight. I recently bought a small electronic doodah for a distributor from the UK, DHL Express unfortunately distributes via Startrack (AusPost) in Rural Vic and added 8 days from when it cleared customs in Melb. Summit I think use Fedex which is TNT in rural areas and I get 6 to 10 days max on some YUGE parcels so its a no brainer.
