One. Wow did they find the perfect guy for Cassidy. Two. Carnage looks sick as hell. And Three, when the tendrils started coming out from his skin while still strapped in the room to be killed that looked really, really convincing. I'm also glad he has a screech rather than just a roar shows the difference in their dynamic is cassidy is a legitimate psycho

What carnage did to that one security guard definitely wasn’t consensual

The most unbelievable thing about this scene is california actually sentencing someone to death, they're more likely to just let the guy have his fun in LA.

The most unrealistic thing about this is the idea of California sentencing a killer to death instead of releasing him without bail.

The funny thing is they didn't even really have to make this movie any more violent to make it accurate to the comics all they had to do was make him say I instead of we and get rid of the whole girlfriend's sub plot thing where he cares

PG-13 was the real plot armor against Carnage.

I always thought that carnage should be weaker because he only got 1% of venom but I realized his strength and power would come 99% from the prison/death poison injection which made him wayyy to powerful but venom still got him.

if only they just turned on the alarm to the prison as is typical procedure, carnage would be dead. way to go slackers.

The most unrealistic part isn't the symbiotes. It's the idea that California would actually deal with criminals.

It’s kinda sad knowing that Disney is making rated R marvel properties now and Sony isn’t doing that with characters that both deserve and require that rating I mean Cmon it’s CARNAGE in A maximum security prison this guy should be ripping peoples spines out and turning people into pincushions When he isn’t devouring screaming guards.

Woody Harrelson is great for this role. This scene shows it... Other than this one, Natural Born Killers and The People Vs. Larry Flint were classic performances of his and his song at the end of this scene was hilarious. Thx 4 sharing

At first when I saw Woody Harrelson playing Carnage I was a bit skeptical but he honestly killed the role of Cletus Kasady.

notice how carnage only attacks the guards and not the prisoners because he is an evil symbiote. Venom would not attack the guards but only prisoners because he as seen as good

How is this carnage different💀, Carnage the symbiote itself is just like how they portrayed it here. Cletus has nothing to do with how the symbiote acts, red symbiotes are naturally aggressive and like killing. That’s why Venom was scared to fight him when he saw he was red!!!

I haven't seen this film, but I'm 16 seconds in and was struck by the prison guard yelling "don't move" at a rampaging monster with tentacles and rows of razor sharp teeth - I mean, you would just open fire...

Be cool to see Spider-Man have to fight this carnage

why isn't carnage forming weapons out of his hands like in the comics? instead they gave him doc ock tentacles which, while cool, aren't nearly as unique. i mean if you're gonna prey off my childhood nostalgia, at least go all the way with it

its hilarious they had the guards continuously trying to shoot and alien when it obv wasnt working and none of them were even freaked out about what was going on. just like oh hey a normal monster just shoot it!

This portrayal of Carnage was good, but not to what I had in mind(not of expectations but of story writing). Carnage by birth is like venom, fueled by negative tendencies, the obvious one being carnage and immense violence. Spider Man 3; did will to interpret venom alien, almost animal. Stranger Things 3; made a flesh monster similar in animalistic mannerisms. I imagined this scene more personal and up close, with no music(for realism and dramatic effect; similar to the lab shooting scene in Born Legacy). Him semi-crawling and running hunched over, using his tendrils attack inmates in the way, but to claw and stab with monstrous actions, not walking like a strutting human villain for he is not(for he is alien, not of this world). There should be guards trying to lock the doors in panic and haste(similar to the scene in Star Wars where they tried to stop Darth Vader). The gas and fog does well to hide his attacks, leaving it to our imagination to fill our thoughts with horrific scenes. Camera shakes would do well make these scene even more immersive and drawn into. References from movies like Prometheus: New Covenant can help make Carnage very scary. Like I said in the beginning, this was good, yet this feels limited to what was proposed.
