I had cronic hives. No allergies were found. Turns out I was very low in Vitamin D3. Increased the D3 and hives went away.

I love that so many carnivore KZfaqrs are talking about histamine intolerances now. When I started carnivore two years ago it was never mentioned.

Puffy face, extreme water retention in my body, no energy, every single cell of my body was in pain. all this was related to histamine intolerance. My diet was based on bone broth, edged meats, all fermented foods, edged cheeses, AVOCADOS, black coffee, leftovers. Since i removed all the histamine triggers from my diet I have never felt better in my life. I was pain free only after 3 day of elimination diet.

Yes! That is AWESOME! I have experienced much of the same. I am 58 and never realized I had this intolerance. It kind of makes me angry that there is not more info out there on this!

Liver detox and oxalate dumping. Slow and steady wins the race with this diet! Adding a little carb every-once in a while will help you not detox so fast and getting reactions.

I was thinking about some kind of liver detox. The symptoms started a few years ago, though, way before carnivore.. so likely not the oxalate issue. Thank you for your input! 😊

you might want to talk about allergy shots with your doctor. it might allow you to get them, sort out the histamine reactions and then taper off the shots. my mum did it successfully. also - re the coffee, wouldn't roasting mitigate the mould issue?
@OurSufficientLife
@OurSufficientLife 8 ай бұрын
I don't know how the roasting would affect the mold. I know, though, that regular store bought coffees have been tested and found to have the mold and mycotoxins. So maybe the roasting doesn't get it all! Thank you for your suggestions! 😊

When I started ketovore in April of 2022 I developed the same hives. It was miserable. I researched and came to the same conclusion... histamine intolerance. The first episode lasted maybe 6 wks, and reoccurred every 3-4 weeks. Each subsequent episode of hives was longer between, and lasted less time. Now, 18 months later the most I get is like one hive very rarely, and is gone in a couple of hours. I wanted to avoid using anti-histamines, and they did nothing for me anyway. I would definitely have used them if they did help. I cut out avocados, and reduced my intake of aged foods like pepperoni, meat sticks, and cheese, and I just rode it out. I believe that after 18 months on very strict, meat heavy ketovore my gut biome has sorted itself out. I've been able to add back in the foods I cut out, but am careful not to overdo them. It sounds like you're on the right track, great job! I'm slightly older, have lost 80 lbs, and mostly I'm here to encourage you that it gets easier and easier as the months fly past :D

I am in agreement with the aged foods. A real bummer, but I need to fix this. The gut biome affects so much more than we think! So glad to see someone else has had the same experience. I really appreciate you sharing your story with it - it helps a lot! 😊

Did you ever find keeping some fiber around helped with histamine intolerance? If I go completely carnivore mine gets all out of whack and I get rashes everywhere along with super dry skin but if I keep around 12-20 grams of fiber it keeps things a bit more under control but still not 100 percent. Mind you I eat 100% grass fed meat that’s been frozen right away and no leftovers. I can never seem to get rid of histamines enough to where I could come off of Zyrtec and not have to intermittently take Benadryl. 🥲

I have Interstitial cystitis and the histamine stays in my bladder and causes horrible flares and bladder spasms. All meat mostly beef has histamine the beef causes the worst pain for me. I started taking 1,000mg of Quercetin its a natural antihistamine i take it when i eat and it really helps but the longer the meat is set out before you eat it and left overs will be really high in histamine you will get rashes but for me it effects my bladder. I had a cow raised and slaughtered and that didn't work and i try to order meat from a farmer who raises meat for people with histamine problems but he is always sold out. I wish i could eat carnavore but until i can figure this histamine food allergie out i cant do it and taking cow liver just causes me to have a flare.

Don't eat aged meat. As one of your suggestions too, I agree. Dr. Anthony Chaffee has a horrible histamine problem. He is constantly sniffing in every video, it's ridiculous 😂 and he eats a ton of aged meat.

@@OurSufficientLife He never says it, but it's very evident. He's incessantly sniffing in every video. I liked watching your video, but I've actually added in fruit and raw unfiltered honey to my diet after watching Dr. Saladino and I feel so much better. I did Ketovore for a year and had no energy the entire time and only lost 20 lbs. A lot of people on long-term Carnivore start having major electrolyte problems like Dr. Saladino talks about. I was also on the Chaffee bandwagon for a year and now I'm off. To me he does not look well. He's starting to have the deep sunken eyes that long-term Carnivores have from not getting the right nutrients, like Rick Rodriguez has and also Kelly Hogan is starting to show. There are so many other things I could say, but the most important is that it's absolutely ridiculous that no matter what problem someone is having, Dr Chaffee just pushes the meat and water only stance when someone could be having severe electrolyte imbalances or something else. However, everyone needs to do what's right for them, of course.

I listened to his channel and started my all beef diet . And it screwed me up. I suffered from extreme histamine dumping which affected every cell in my body. And still suffering.. every body is different. Anthony Chaffee never spoke about allergies or histamine or high histamine foods or how to wean off from histamine foods that people are used to.
@catsrus2890
@catsrus2890 3 ай бұрын
@@bluej6127 So sorry, that happened to you. I hope you're off of it now because, yes, as I said he never talks about that or any problems with the Carnivore Diet. It's all smoke and mirrors. The mere fact that he still has the histamine sniffing tells you how bad it is...almost 2 years later from when I was watching him. I started watching him in July of 2022. I watched every one of his videos for a year. I remember back then when I first showed his video to a friend of mine and that was the very first thing she noticed was the sniffing. I was so pro-Chaffee then, I couldn't even see the problems. His followers are also in total denial when I point out anything about the his looks... that he looks ill now and everything else from his sunken carnivore eyes to Botoxing his face now, to also possibly being on "something"to maintain that body look when he rarely exercises. He has said it many times that he rarely exercises and his girlfriend said it too. As one guy said he's more juiced than a Capri Sun. 😂 It was someone's comment from last summer that woke me up finallly. The guy said he had been a strict 15-year orthorexic carnivore and then he started having severe electrolyte problems with imbalances. He said it took him a few years to get better and he particularly mentioned the dark sunken carnivore eyes he had then, that Chaffee is starting to have, and that Kelly Hogan and Rick Rodriguez also have. The biggest thing is you should watch the debate video that he has with Dr Matthew Nagara on Dr. Nagra's channel. Chaffee FINALLY admits in that video that carnivore is not the only way to eat.. to get healthy or to stay healthy. He says it twice in the video at the beginning and around the 1 hour mark.... Which completely contradicts and negates EVERYTHING he has ever said on his channel from day one touting the Carnivore Diet as the one and only way to eat and the one and only proper human diet. So, basically he has been lying to his followers from day one on his channel. If he wasn't good looking, he wouldn't even have 10K followers. Dr Nagra decimates him in the debate. Just look on Dr Nagra's channel. I just saw the video a couple of months ago and I referenced it all the time. I still make comments on Chaffee's channel but they're rare because his followers are just in complete denial about any problems. The Carnivore Diet has helped a lot of people... But it's also starting to hurt a lot of people, especially doing long-term carnivore. Long-term carnivore can actually increase insulin resistance and people can start gaining weight again. I just still comment occasionally on his videos to hopefully help a few people like that guy helped me, really see the truth...that it's a great short-term elimination diet, at best. It's not meant for everyone and not meant for everyone long-term. Dr Shawn Baker also said that on a podcast. He said, "use as needed." Good luck!! As an update to 5 months ago I've now added also back into my diet potatoes rice more vegetables and fruits. I found the only thing for me that I needed to eliminate was wheat which is one of the highest inflammatories for joint pain. I started Ketovore due to severe osteoarthritis in my left knee. The pain did go away, but now adding stuff back in and but keeping out the wheat there is no pain unless I cheat. Then the pain comes right back. 🤗

I am new to carnivore and easing my way in. Some things that have helped me with histamine are drinking sole water, deep Wim Hof breathing, jumping, shaking and dancing to loosen up the lymph system and finish eating by 4 - 4:30. I drink the sole water several times a day. Very helpful. Also gargling with salt water. Hope this helps!
