When Caroline asks Mark in a moment of clarity, "How do you feel today? You feel good?" shows her spirit is so beautiful that she still cares about how others are doing in the midst of her struggles. That really touched me. Caroline, may you find peace and security in this world -that is my hope for you. ♥

My Prayers for Ms Caroline is for her to be w/ her family❤️🙏 Seek Recovery & go to meetings. My heart aches for her as I'm tearing up writing this ... She is such a genuine kind beautiful woman .. Yes, I've seen her physical appearance changing since her beginning stages of using heroin. But I can't stop believing that one day soon .. She will be exhausted of this never ending abuse of using drugs & seek salvation & rid of her drug use all together... I will continue to pray for you Ms Caroline & all the other lost & loving souls ..❤️🙏.

And just to think that this all started from a sexual assault that happened at age 13 where no one in authority believed her to the point that she was looked down upon by the other kids parents and deemed a liar. That broke her initially. The damage that did to that poor girl ultimately ruined her years later. To the point that after her brothers untimely death, the load became too heavy. Finding Heroin took away the pain. Once there, the drugs did what they do. You never know what a person's been through till you know. Thanks Mark, everybody deserves a voice! Prayers to Caroline. 🙏🏾💜 🙏🏾

The idea that there's men out there that will actually have sex with this unwell woman makes me sick to my stomach. There's something seriously wrong with a person that's willing to have sex or take advantage of someone in this state of mind. How we as a society allow vulnerable people like this to walk around unsupervised and unaccounted for... is just absurd.

She is mostly in this stage (like in the video) when she high but when she seeking the high (selling her body) she is not in the drug induced psychosis as much like in the end of the video. Sometimes some people can't see beyond their own needs. They dehumanise such people in their heads, leaving them, in their minds, nothing more than an object. Mankind has failed itself miserably and the weak, broken and needy bear the brunt of it. Robert Burns said it perfectly: "A wad some pow'r, the giftie gie us; to see oursels as ithers see us" If we practiced this perhaps we would see how our actions affect others. To A Louse. R. My sister is about her age. Her mental health started doing the same thing about 10 years ago. She's on the streets now, for the last 5 years or so. Left her husband and sons behind, left me..her best friend. She's refused any help., It's the most gut wrenching mind terrorizing thing, to grieve someone that is still technically alive. I'll never recover from it, I wonder if she is alive every day, and fear that if she dies no one would know to contact me. It's broken me in ways I didn't know existed. Thank you for being a small bit of safety for Caroline, Mark. Her mind has been overrun and I know she lives in fear. I know she pulls at your heartstrings, and it's hard to stand by someone you care for and feel so helpless. But the fact that she still recognizes you as a safe space for her means so much. If I may, perhaps I can clear up a misconception I used to have, too. I’m making the assumption that when you say this is proof EVERYONE MATTERS, you’re referring to the BLM movement. You know, when it started, I, too, believed it was wrong, and should have read, All Lives Matter. I didn’t understand. Then I read something, (wish I could take credit, haha) and it helped me so much. Then, I understood. Here goes: If we were all neighbors, and someone’s house caught on fire, we would all run to help that family. It doesn’t mean OUR houses are less important, it just means that when one family is in trouble, they are the ones who need our help, at that time. So when the black community (family) is in trouble, they are actually asking that we remember them, because they need help right now. It doesn’t mean we mean less, or any other community (family) means less, or that blacks mean more. It’s a signal that they are in trouble. I think one word would make this so much easier to understand. I think it should say, “Black Lives Matter too.” I hope this helps, if indeed I read your comment correctly. Hey.. at first, I thought the exact same thing. All the best. ❤️

Mark, THANK YOU so much for the Caroline update. 🙏🏽 I’ve been wondering for a long time and so have many others, so thank you for hearing us. On one hand, I’m so very grateful, and on the other hand I feel tremendous sadness. All this time I was hoping and praying that Caroline was somewhere safe, away from drugs and skid row. I was hoping she got sober quietly and was living with her family, and rebuilding her life. So, seeing her like this still is very sad. However, for me personally, I would rather know than to not know. So thank you from the bottom of my heart.🙏🏽💛

You can tell by the way that she speaks and the vocabulary that she uses (even when the words don’t come together to form a sentence that makes any logical sense outside of her mind) that there is someone somewhere in there who is intelligent, honest, and kind, and was once very articulate. She reminds me of many addicts that I know. I hope that whatever happens to her in the future, she discovers an existence beyond her pain, grief, and hardships, whether they contributed to her getting started on this path or happened along the way. WOW compliments on that Tommy Hilfiger knit she got on in the still shot. CLASSY! She becomes very coherent when she Mark asks her a question, she answers normally but she can only keep her mind straight for a minute or so, then her thoughts get scrambled and she does that coping mechanism thing where she starts holding her arms up. But she seems like a kind person. I’m glad Mark had her on. I finally got to meet the legend that started it all. I really hope no one hurt’s her out there.

I am 56 and I was telling my mother and father (in their 80's) about this channel and the people. My parents are very sheltered and while we lived in poverty most of my life, there was always something that came along and kept us going. I believe God watched out for us. Regardless, I explained to her that if you took a bag of flour and put it in a sifter and sifted through the whole of the bag, it feels like, at least to me, these people are the ones who did not fit through the screen. They are no less important and deserve all the the help we can offer. After watching so many, I wonder where we are, as a society, that there is so little focus on the ones who don't really fit. If political candidates can spend millions in ads, why would they not invest that in communities? In people? We all forget actions speak louder than words. Thank you Mark for Actions!
