I'm 6 minutes into it.... And So far my story is coming out of your mouth. I have been living in my RV for a year now, but plugged in. I'm getting ready to take it on the road for the first time this week. I'm terrified! I've watched so many of your adventures and know I can still this. 55 and 8 years off drugs. Thank you.... You are part of my strength.

Hi Carolyn, It's not just Women or RVers that you inspire, you reach more people than you'll ever know. You're just looking at a camera but thousands of us are looking back at you watching & listening. I came across your channel when I lived in another country to the one I'm currently In. Long story short, with Covid, Job loss etc etc I lost everything & had to move to this country to stay with family and "Re-Build" in order to eventually go back to the country I love living in & through the magic of You Tube throughout it all you've been with me as much as I've been with you. You're a like a good friend who's stood by my side all the way & as corny as this sounds , you make me feel "Safe" because your wonderful vids are always there, no matter where I am In the world you're just a couple of clicks away. I wish you nothing but love, great health & happiness & just wanted to re-iterate how much of an impact you have on many of us. I could have just given up but you are inspiring me to get up again and keep moving ahead. Love You xxx

There are only two channels that I support and both are women I can relate to. What doesn’t kill you makes you stronger. While Matilda’s issues were a struggle, it made you stronger. It also inspired others like me that we don’t have to have everything perfect to live a happy nomadic adventure. I learned so much from you which is why I am one of your patrons and a big fan. Thank you for continuing to inspire so many to get past obstacles and to be happy, be free, and be kind!

Yes I am still here! Tuesday morning I am hitting the road full time. I have been sitting in my driveway in my van for a week now. Mom’s house sold in 4 days after signing, cleared it out and will sell my car tomorrow. All this less than a month after her death. But like you I have had the dream of becoming a nomad. Unlike you I did wait till I retired in 2020 so that I could live on social security. The Bay Area is so out priced I can’t believe anyone can afford it. Have always loved camping by myself and pushing the envelope of adventure. Have had many who hear that I have chosen this life style whom say I am so brave. This is actually a sad commentary on society’s view on the capabilities of women. Perhaps one of these days we will meet up on the road.

Congratulations🥂!.. so happy and excited for you. If you're ever in Nevada message me, I have a place in Washoe Valley just minutes from the state park, one of Carolyn's favorite places. I have obligation with my animals, one being my trusted stead that I've had 22 years now, that keeps me from being on the road all the time. I envy those that have the freedom like you have just acquired! Happy travels my friend, if you ever need a place to park those weary bones for a respite 😉 definitely look me up.

Carolyn, Thank you so much for sharing your story! God bless you for your honesty! As a Mom of two sons who were addicted to drugs and alcohol, I understand the struggles you endured. My oldest lost his battle, but praise God, my youngest is winning that horrible battle! My husband and I are weekenders RVing locally in the summer and snowbirds in Florida from January to April!! We love the life! At one time, I thought of doing what you did, but life happens and that dream was never my reality! I have to live it through full timers like you!! Be safe out there! The world has lost its collective mind! I’m a devout follower of Jesus Christ, so I know the end of the story......I pray you do too!

HI Gerri, actually, it's 5 years on the road. I've been sober 12 years, clean about 7 or 8. I thought I could handle Vicodin when I quit drinking :-(

Oh my, Carolyn, I relate so much more to you now. I'm 50 now and finally learning to live my life for me. I gave up a soul sucking career last year and have been focusing on me. I've always been a risk taker and adventurer but never got to do that. our travel and adventure started 2 years ago and we have so many plans ahead of us. Thanks for sharing.❤

I don’t remember how I came across your page but I was soon addicted. I went back to the beginning and watched every single video. It was like watching a series and I looked forward to the next episode. I can never live remotely due to health issues but I really appreciate you doing what you do so people like me can live vicariously. My favorite content is basic living like shopping, cooking running errands and going to unique stores and the history of the places you go!! Thanks again!

Carolyn, Thx for this video. You are a courageous person to include such personal details in your content. Maybe it’s cuz I watched it at 3 AM, but I felt emotionally attached to the pain you were expressing. To be sure, my personal experiences were different from yours, but pain is pain so your vid was close to being a therapy session. Well, I’m prepping to become a full timer. And of course the biggest obstacle is getting out of this 55+ house. Don’t think it will be hard, just lots of elbow grease. Last week, I went to CarMax and traded in my gas-powered Nissan PRO4X for a diesel Ford F-350. The Nissan pulled my tt fine, but when I hit the Rocky Mountain states, I know I’ll be glad to have ALL that reserve muscle working for me. Again, thx for your nuggets of wisdom. Hope to share a breakfast or two with you reasonably soon.

Your bad year sounds like mine last year. Lost my job, 2 weeks later my fiancee left, my mother died, my dog died. Still fighting depression. Watching you being so fearless and strong inspires me.

Mine are chronic, so I have one most days. I’m considering going back to plant based, as I have done that before, and felt better physically.
