Omg seeing Patrick Wilson doing stunning roles at my current age -- his career is non-stop gems!

Who would have thought that eight years later, Patrick Wilson would play Raoul in the movie version of The Phantom of the Opera!

Spiderwoman my jaw is dropped!!! I had no idea this even existed - this ranks very highly as one of my all-time favorite revivals. Such great footage and I so miss these 1990’s TV specials that were done for musicals on tour or for those amazing Toronto productions. Thank you so much for posting this Spiderwoman!

I saw this tour in Seattle. I LOVED the show and Patrick was so good, I said "I HAVE to play that role!" And...I did. After this tour closed, it went out again as a non-union national tour and I played Billy. So, this show holds a very special place in my heart.

And to think that Patrick was, what, just 22-23 here? That means he was around my age currently when he did this…wow. Find it hard to believe that this dude will turn 50 next year. And, no, that isn’t a joke. Wow.

Just came across this. What a find --especially w Shirley Jones in it. I saw this production down in Costa Mesa when it went on tour. Didn't realize it started out with Patrick Wilson who is not quite the right type for Bigelow. Wilson is too aesthete; his features and his cut are too refined for the rough, swaggering "bully" that Billy was supposed to be. Sure, Wilson can sing it and I guess that's more important in the theatre than on film but Billy really must contrast with the the more tender, softer character of Julie who does suffer the slings and arrows of fate. Anyway, thanks for posting this.
