Good video mate, I used to use a running rig all the time years ago feel it might be worth a try again as no one seems to use it anymore 😁👍

Thanks for your comment. It has to be my favorite rig for carp fishing with bite alarms especially in the colder months. Thanks for checking out my channel!

Hi, I’m liking the look of this setup. One question I do have is do any rubber beads fit into a inline weight?
@PhillWyattFishing
@PhillWyattFishing 3 жыл бұрын
Thanks 👍 they don't always fit into the weight like this one although it is not essential. This just makes it a bit slicker.

Hi Phill. Great video thanks. I've read it's good to use a running inline lead in a PVA bag then the lead will lay flat on the bottom after the bag has dissolved and not potentially having one end dug into the bottom. Your thoughts? Tight lines mate!

That was a clinch knot Gaz. I tend to stick to a few knots as I also forget the names of them. I just try to keep things simple 👍

Hi mate. Nice video. I tested this out in my garden with bite alarms etc and i felt that when i moved the hook link away, you could feel the weight of the bobbin as you moved away. Do you think this makes the fish spit it or spook ?
@PhillWyattFishing
@PhillWyattFishing 3 жыл бұрын
Bobbing are usually very light unless you add extra weight to them. In my experience the weight of the bobbin does not seem to spook them. When you cast at a distance the resistance would be hard to notice.

how does the weight hook the fish like on a led clip ?
@PhillWyattFishing
@PhillWyattFishing 2 жыл бұрын
The weight doesn't hook the fish. That would be a bolt rig. This is a running rig. You hook the fish by striking or lifting into the fish.

@PhillWyattFishing
@PhillWyattFishing 2 жыл бұрын
@@michaelwalker1964 no problem 👍🏻 I like running rigs because the fish can't feel any resistance. Sometimes Carp like to pic up a bait and slowly move with it cautiously.
