Hey Ledg, thank you for doing this, because of the bad audio-quality. Fantastic Mate! One of my last questions was about the Rims and Axxles and why they are mostly not running concntric when glued together, and if this was a production cost factor. If I remember correctly, they will do something about it, Andreas said. But this is definitly a reason to exchange the whole units with aftermarket parts to make them run quite on the track. Well done and wewill see what Carrera does in the future. ;-)

The main problem with F1 cars is the licencing costs! :(
@bomamo962011 ай бұрын
Well, that is what I asked during the live-stream, but Andreas did not really respond to it. I asked if it is because the Americans took over the F1 Circus and therefore no license is given, because of the costs We don`t know and maybe Carrera doesn`t want us to know.. But actually it makes sense what Andreas said, because a mold and the whole process to develop a Car takes about 8 months and the costs are very high for it. If it is not economical for Carrera, they won`t do it plus they don`t want to use older molds to bring out new F1 Cars with it. Remember that all F1 Cars, even the Go!! models do have the same body only the livery is different. ;-)

Thanks for all this, Travis. Should’ve asked them why the ‘Start Light’ arch doesn’t have any ‘Green for Go!’ LEDs - That always makes me scratch my head. 🤔🤨
@johnd889211 ай бұрын
Struggling to think of any full size racing with a green light go. Lights out to go for F1 and V8 Supercars. Drag racing maybe green. Race Coordinator is lights out to. Most of my racing is with this system.

@@johnd8892 oh dear the struggle is real.😂 Don't give a toss about any of that, mate. I WANT GREEN FOR GO!!!!!! 🤣
@bomamo962011 ай бұрын
Hi Shane, tecnically it is possible, because there are switchable LED`s which change color out there and the command to change to green at the last full red line is possible that way. Always keep the production costs in the back of your mind, if it comes to those issues. The economical factor is a big one here. Big Co`s always work with profit in their minds. Period. ;-)

you know what's neat about 1/24 scale you mentioned ho slot cars and hot wheels also matchbox cars on ho 1/24 you can use 1/24 model kits such as 1940 Ford coupe and 1940 Ford tudor and a number of 1/24 after market models

The answer to the 1/32 F1 question pretty much sums up how Carrera works: The popularity of F1 has increased MASSIVELY during the last couple of years, especially in the US market (which is a market that Carrera also has in mind). The fact that they're only doing "market research" now to see "if" F1 is popular enough to create slot cars shows a *massive* lack of forward thinking in my opinion. And that is just one example, the lack of new features for their market-leading digital system throughout the last years is another one. I suppose they don't believe in their own product. I'd love to have a chat with you at some point about that, Travis. Maybe sometimes in the future 🙂

I've not seen the link stream but I suspect I don't need to? Great questions and great objective reporting 👮 Yep, a Ferrari 296 GT3 would bring a smile to my face. I feel Carrera really do need to bring back the almost eponymous AF Corse livery for this series. Otherwise, some 'modern classics' such as we see at Goodwood and Historic Le Mans would certainly work with me. I do love the GT3s and Carrera has made some stunning models for most of the main contenders over recent years. There's a couple of M4s, an M6, an AMV and a McLaren tempting me as well as the new old school Lancia and the new Audi A8 Evo. I still run Carrera track and it has certainly been the best plastic on the planet but now we have Policar - I am tempted - and also Scaleauto coming up on the 'rails' and these may well hit future sales? Personally, I think F1s work best as lightweight generics from the three manufacturers we know. F1s are meant to be raced hard and fast and wings and aero will fly off and this really runs contrary to the otherwise not unreasonable idea of having an accurate scale model. Personally, I wish Carrera would do aluminum wheels and crowns with grub screw adjusters - that's 'after market', I guess? Thanks once again, Travis.

Generic F1, Hypercar or LMP1 cars with fantasy liveries would make good sense (see NSR's generic 86 - 89 F1 cars), and plain coloured cars that racers can decorate with their own liveries would also be appreciated.
