you are watching Pakistan Railways Carriage factory Islamabad, its main purpose is to make new passenger coaches for Pakistan Railways,
used coaches are also being repaired in this factory,
carriage factory was built in 1970 with German technology and its participated in several big projects of Pakistan Railways
almost 300 new coaches been made here by the years,
now days accidental coaches rehabbing work is at full swing,
carriage factory Islamabad has ability to make 150 new coaches in a year as a single shift work,
but this strength could be increase after procurement of new coaches by Pakistan Railways regarding CPEC projects,

Great video sir... how many total passenger coaches used in PR??out of which how many coaches are CNR coaches?? And what is this maximum speed of CFI coaches?? people over here looked very skilled but , they don't have that facilities they deserve actually... And secondly the coupling used in PR is screw type coupling which is not so safe , they should AAR/CBC coupling which is used in frieght wagons, all the locomotive and passenger coaches still uses screw coupling , that needed to change...

Total coches ka idea nhi CNR new coaches 200 ke kreeb ho gi for 160/omg CFI coache 140/kmh ke liy hain Yes there are not much better facilities and the reason is lack of interest and budgeting,

There is a system Out of all shops there is a moving structure which would carry a coach on it and move horizontally infront of all the shops, and it has a heavy motor like trench which pulls the coach out of the shop at that moving hub and then that hub move to next shop and unload the coach there and they pull it again in the upcoming shop, I was about to film it but unfortunately the heavy storm came and rain after it so I have to pack up the filming

A very thorough n detailed visit. First time watched such educative video on CFI. Pakistani Labour is beyond doubt highly skilled n industrious. Colour of couches is traditional n matches our agrarian economy, recall mustard fields, yellow n green. Once colour was changed to blue n white but that was not received well.My suggestion is to maintain status quo. Your effort especially in hot summer is commendable.

کارخانے کے مناظر دیکھ کر بڑی خوشی ہوئی لیکن وقت کی سب سے بڑی ضرورت یہ ہے کہ اس کارخانے کو جدید ترین خودکار مشینوں سے لیس کیا جائے اور اس میں عصری تقاضوں سے پوری طرح ہم آہنگ کوچ تیار کیے جائیں ـــ پاکستانی عوام اگر اپنے حکمرانوں کو ریلوے کے تمام شعبوں کی تجدید کے لیے مجبور کریں تو ان کی خود اپنے ملک کی بڑی خدمت ہوگی ــــ بھارت.

My god they are still restoring 35 yrs old coach which already made from refurbished parts. I pray to god to keep passanger safe. And they are restoring with old school ways
