just a random fact the military term for missing a the arrestor cables on a carrier is a bolter. When the pilot would miss they would get a message over the radio saying "bolter! bolter!" and then they would hit the afterburners and take it around again.

the symbol in your HUD that looks like a W is which way your plane is pointing the circle with line coming out sides and top ir which way youre flying, if you stall the ww would stay straight and circle would fall(no lift) etc so to fly level put the circle on artificial horizon

looking continuously at all directions may give the watcher a terrible headache! But after all, it's a pleasant video. Send more!

I'll be working on an aircraft carrier within the next 4 years. I am currently in DEP for the Nuc Program. Kind of excited but I have no idea what to expect!

Now of course I don't know what the actual flight envelope looks like for an F/A 18 but I'd assume that when moving at 600+ mph you generally would need to point the nose to a slight negative angle to keep it level, since the amound of lift produced by a wing travelling that fast must be astounding. I think the artifificial horizon does work because the nose of your aircraft is down and the horizon displays a negative angle, even though you are flying level

pro tip :D When using "AG" or air to ground it is always best to have more altitude and increase the angle of attack to ensure your missile does not impact a house or a tree before reaching your target. 45 degree angle is best :D

I play Pr bf2 but the size of these Arma3 maps is huge. lending itself to very good flight simulation.

could someone please tell me how to get the carrier fully operational? I've seen many videos with the carrier having the ability to connect the refueling line and also the catapult launch as seen in the video. The only thing that works is the wire catch when I land my F/A-18 and the elevators, that's about it.

correction at around 4:30 you say again artificial horizon doesnt work, it does work, its just showing where the horizon is, im pobably not the only one who said this but too bad, your plane was going fast enough to where it was producing enough lift to make you start climbing when you are facing the horizon, there for you need to point a little below it to keep it at "level flight" with no altitude gain or loss

Here's a cool idea for a S.E.A.L. insertion. Get jets and chuck the jet (eject from a good plane) and then you complete the mission on the ground.

How do you lock on to stuff in this game? I've been playing for a while now, but I stay away from fighter jets and anti air missile launchers because I have no damn idea how to lock on to targets and therefore can't hit anything.
