How to repair locked up seat belts on the seat ibiza

I will show you how to repair locked up seat belts that have not deployed on my Seat Ibiza. The Seat Ibiza series is close to the end and the seat belts are the last of the safety devices that need to be installed. my seat belts, unfortunately, arrived locked up so, in this episode, I will show you how to fix this issue.

Hi bud hope your well. You don’t need to take the Seat belts apart and you shouldn’t you only need to bolt the main housing of the unit in the car it will then be in it’s correct position and the bearing will drop automatically you shouldn’t take them apart as it can compromise the safety of the device. Hi Rob, these were locked solid, even in the car bolted in. I got the advice from a VW specialist.

What you took out of the "locked" seatbelt is called "Car sensor". What that does is when the car is tiled lets say on a hill, or brakes hard , accelerates hard or does hard turns the seatbelt locks keeping the occupant in place. The seatbelt is made to extract webbing at a certain position of it with a tolerance of +/- 2 degrees from the nominal position.

Good lesson on the seatbelt being locked up and not having been deployed, suffer this problem in my skoda fabia rear middle belt after folding the seats down, dealer quoted £300 for new one fitted.

Yep Paul you definitely done them seat belt the hard way, they should release when the bottom is bolted into position 👍 learning on the job enjoy you videos 👌

Thomas Jackson I had similar problem with the rear seat belt on my Abarth yesterday. Reel wouldn’t release. If you bolt the reel and anchor it then just pulls out.

Great advice Paul, I had this before a few times even if you try bolt them in car so they are level they won't release its like the belt has filled the reel so much its holding the latch under tension, the ball bearing should drop but it doesn't because of the tension

O porta-luvas é preso por cerca de 9 parafusos que você precisa remover. 2 ou 3 estarão no porta-luvas e você também precisará ter cuidado ao removê-lo, pois ele estará conectado à luz do porta-luvas

O porta luvas eu sei como se faz para desmontar , eu até já o desmontei , por isso é que estou a pedir ajuda para me explicar como é que faço a ligação eléctrica para poder ter luz para o porta luvas , porque o carro não tem cá instalação eléctrica para a luz do porta luvas . Já verifiquei , este modelo vem de fabrica sem pré instalação de luz para o porta luvas . Será que me pode ajudar ? Sff ? Fico a aguardar uma resposta sua sff . Muito obrigado . Not all deployed seat belts rattle. Like watching u do things the long way Why u opened the belts mechanism ? when the are bolted in and u pull slowly it sets it self or off the car u have to hold it a certain way for it to be able to pull out if not held properly the will lock hope that helps

That didn't work because the belt had no space on the reel to release the ball bearing even when bolted in
