The 2024 Hyundai Palisade upper-large SUV has a trick up its proverbial sleeve: two new Calligraphy grades, which combine to replace the former Highlander flagship in its range. New to Australia, these fresh variants breathe a little more life into the model after its facelift in August 2022.
So, what do the Calligraphy and aptly named Calligraphy Blank Ink have in store for family-car buyers? Well, they bring upgraded glass (water-repellent front and acoustic rear) and a climate control touchscreen, with the latter exclusively getting darkened trim inside and out.
In this expert review, CarsGuide Contributing Journalist Marcus Craft spends a week living with the new Palisade Calligraphy, namely its all-wheel-drive (AWD) variant, which is powered by Hyundai's familiar 2.2-litre turbo-diesel four-cylinder engine. The question is, is it the best mainstream family SUV?
