i love my merc SLK 230 kompressor with the retracting steel hardtop. cost $3500 in 2012 and has instant power to pass and handles great.

I have bought my first car this month and it's a 2002 Peugeot 206CC with the 2.0 16V engine making 135 HP. I know it's way below the price ranges of the cars mentioned in this video and is more of an economy car rather than a sports car. but it handles and feels absolutely amazing. And with it having a hard top it maintains a bit of the rigidity that it would've lost. I can't wait to modify it, get it a bit lower and get a bit more power out of it. I'm so glad I followed my stubborn gut and kept going for a convertible cuz driving with the top down feels absolutely amazing. Thank for the video mate

Favourite convertible might actually be the MX-5. The LC convertible is pretty tasty too though, as is the R8 Spyder and a few of the Merc SL range over the years.

WHAAAAAAAAAAT? No Saab 9-3 convertible? 🙂 I'm on my 4th and have never had any serious mechanical or electronic problems. 2 litre turbo, 4 seats, looks great, affordable. What's not to like? I'll forgive you though as another great video 👍 Always informative and watchable. The 'reliability' notes are great.

Great video, although a bit subjective, but then it’s your channel and view so that inevitable I guess - could easily have been 10 cars as what about an Alfa Spider (Brera era) with its stunning styling of or you included a 4 seat Beemer why not an A5 and as you had a 2 seat Audi TT then why no Z4? Then there’s the SLK/CLK plus Golf’s etc so potentially a list of 10 or perhaps 2 videos of 5 with 2 and then 4 seats?

I've got a Volvo C70 T5 and for comfort and with four usable seats it is hard to beat. However, like all metal top convertibles, it is bloody heavy so don't expect Ford Focus ST levels of performance as you will be very disappointed. It is a great cruiser and with the roof down the sound from that 5 cylinder engine will make you smile every time you put your foot down. Not many around now and most of them are high milers but well worth considering if you can find a good one.

what about the VW Eos? I love mine and its rapid

The tt needs to look a bit more aggressive imo. When new it almost would’ve been too sleeper looking despite the quad pipes and badge

Another great vid JB. I thought about the 350Z but then looked at the £600 per Year Tax! I also looked at the BMW but most of them don't come with 'optional extras' pack (indicators!). The IMS replacement cost put me off the Boxster but you never know, I might just get one as a 'fun car'. The Audi is a Yes. If you look hard, you may be able to buy an Audi S5 convertible for less than £10k. They are easy too take care of, have very little issues & only cost £360 per Year tax. If you are going on a longish journey on the Motorway & stick to the speed limit (unlikely because they encourage you), you should get about 34 MPG. They have 4 seats & decent boot space. I use mine every day for shopping & the occasional 'skip run'. All the best......

In this video you said that you've driven loads of nice/fast cars so why don't you post videos of them. I know you're not a reviewer but it would break the monotony of you just reading lists of cars (enjoyable though that is) Break out your MX5 and video yourself taking it for a thrash for example, gotta be better than list after list. Please understand I'm not hating on you mate just saying.
